My love is for mother nature, for all those who have respect for other living beings and for those who, with a pair of headphones on their head, are able to travel far while remaining motionless...wherever they are in the world.

I select music every day and mix it looking for the right chemical combination that allows me to fly away. When I find it, I am no longer here.

The bird from up there has a clearer view and the anonymity of the height makes everything more interesting.

Bio:
Parker will never forget the day a friend of his handed him a CD at the age of 14. It would change his life forever. That CD was the Politics of Dancing by Paul van Dyk, released in 2001. In his opinion, it is the best Trance music compilation mix to date. From then on, his journey began in the world of electronic music. He dove in head first obsessed with the euphoria, peaks, and builds that define Trance Music. Though too many to name, some DJs that stood out to him in the Trance scene were Paul van Dyk, Chicane, Gabriel & Dresden, Gareth Emery, The Thrillseekers, Daniel Kandi, Solid Sessions, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Andy Moor, and Cosmic Gate.
 
In 2009, he moved to France and soon was introduced to the world of House Music, specifically Deep House. He also met some French DJs who taught him how to mix. He loved discovering a whole new style of electronic music and a new set of extremely talented DJs such as Addex, D.M.P., Seva K, Delano Smith, Paronator, Sebastian Davidson, Vas Floyd, and Babak Shayan. He found this genre to be the perfect blend of Soul, Disco, Funk, and Jazz. The French people were extremely kind and mentored him in how to properly beatmatch and craft sets both on CDJs and vinyl. He mixed live at a few local bars and was instantly hooked.

Upon his return to the states, he discovered the roots of House Music in his hometown of Chicago frequenting legendary clubs such as the late Vision, Spybar, Soundbar, and Smartbar. He then discovered another DJ that would again change his life, the mighty Guy J. Guy seemed to incorporate elements of many different genres of electronic music and exposed Parker to the world of Progressive House music. Guy’s label Lost & Found is a true inspiration and showcases a lot of upcoming and impressive DJs. It was as if Parker had discovered yet again a completely new genre within electronic music. He then dug in and discovered a multitude of incredibly talented DJs spanning the globe such as Cristoph, Jeremy Olander, Martin Roth, Alex O'Rion, Guy Gerber, 16 Bit Lolitas, Guy Mantzur, Henry Saiz, Stereo Underground, Budakid, Khen, Jody Wisternoff, Dosem, Brian Cid, Berni Turletti, Mathias Chilano, Hernan Cattaneo, Juan Deminicis, John Digweed, Sasha, Cid Inc., Dmitry Molosh, GMJ & Matter, K Loveski, Gui Milani and Luciano Scheffer among many others. Having lived in South America for two years, he is so happy and impressed to see the amazing talented DJs coming out of Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and many other countries.

Capping off a successful year, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Circle of Life and ZAC to the label for a special two track showcase. No stranger to Movement Recordings is Circle of Life who returns for his sixth appearance. The Serbian artist made his label debut in 2019 with the well-received 'Black Light' EP. Beginning with 'Kosmos', Circle of Life and ZAC demonstrate just how strong their creative synergy is. Led by a robust groove, pulsating rhythms and astral stabs, its ethereal nature captivates from the outset. Dark and cavernous across the first act, a dramatic sensibility rises as flickering sonics and arcane overlays blanket the electric groove. Stripping down into the second of two breaks a more emotive sensibility rises, as luminous tonal themes provide a warm glow amidst a haze of colour and harmony, eventually giving way to a flurry of drums as the energetic groove drops for a spirited finale.

Boasting a range of local talent such as ‘Calypso Records’ label boss Iñigo Vontier, ‘Duro’ co-founder Theus Mago and ‘Hard Fist Records’ head honcho Tushen Raï and Neskeh, ‘The Bonfire’ serves up a plethora of unique music rooted in the darker realms of disco and electro.

Iñigo Vontier sets the tone with a glitched out, mind-bending cut in ‘Prado’. Originally appearing on the 2020 album ‘For The Very Last Time’, Irish-Iranian musician Glassio’s ‘Summertime (Kept the Blues Away)’, a sun-soaked slice of indie pop, receives the remix treatment on toucan sounds. The release sees Glassio revisit his track alongside a remix from label boss Robert PM, dropping ahead of their New Years Eve party at Mercury Lounge in New York City, which features Glassio and French Horn Rebellion on the lineup. Flipping ‘Summertime (Kept the Blues Away)’ into a deep and driving cut, Robert PM introduces a 4/4 pattern, fluttering arps, and resonant low-end into the mix, making for a dynamic and engaging listen from start to finish. Following this is Glassio’s own ‘Italo Mix’, with lively claps, heavy-hitting disco toms, and a chugging bassline making way for classic Italo-disco tropes.
