I was born and raised in San Francisco. I began playing clubs in the early 70's. I’ve pretty much played every dive in the SF Bay area during the 70‘s thru the late 90‘s. I have played a lot of nice places with nice people too. 

I am now semi-retired from the glamorous life of starvation and homelessness, that being a working musician offers. I have a day gig but, I work the night in my meager home studio to spread the word that ...

Svelt St. features married vocalist Feelmore and emcee Bang! Cheeto.  Svelt St.'s songs are honest, a bit dark, and at times, self-deprecating. All outliers in their respective backgrounds, Svelt St.'s influences sound nothing like them. Just as Svelt St. jumped cities, they jump genres – pulling from Trip-Hop, Dub Step, Hip-Hop, House, Breakbeats, Rock and Electro to name a few, pulling an equally eclectic fan base.

As of now, Three Hippos Deep is is a 2 piece consisting of John Konz on guitars and Ken Martinez on bass. All other instrumentation is currently programmed using Ableton. We strive to create a melting pot of rock, funk, electronic, hip-hop, and psychedelic, and draw our inspiration from bands such as Black Sabbath, Clutch, Galactic, Parliament, Rage Against The Machine, Holy Fuck, Lionize, and Pretty Lights. We would like to eventually add additional musicians to this project (particularly vocalists(singers and rappers alike), percussionists, keyboardists/organists, and maybe even brass players!) so anyone listening who is a musician in the N.Y area and likes what they hear and would be potentially interested in jamming with us please send an e-mail to threehipposdeep@aol.com.
