The next release from Spanish label Fill-Lex Records is engineered by Canarian producer Goli Mj, albeit with two different projects. Fábrica De Ratas is the pseudonym he uses to express all his intensity, viscerality and the rudeness of an electro with subversive punk origins. Funeral Cave is the sum of Goli himself with Erik Jiménez, and its name refers to the burial caves used by the pre-Hispanic inhabitants of the Canary Islands to bury the mummified bodies of their dead. As for the style of this duo, it is a mixture of IDM and electro based on the use and maximum performance that a technique such as field recordings can offer.   

Although we can appreciate references to a bygone era, before the colonialisms of European countries, the sound of this album is fresh and warm. Rhythmically it also shows a style that can be perfectly oriented to the dancefloor, although each track tells its own story and allows us to observe the creative capacity of the authors to provide a heterogeneous album, with multiple influences and with very personal developments in each piece.

Oscillant entre dystopie, minimalisme et noirceur la plus sombre, E.L.I aka Crossover Network offre une première de qualité toujours aussi impeccable. On y retrouve la voix distordue et rauque qui faisait déjà sa marque sur son précédent E.P. et l'utilisation de synthé qui viennent ajouter de solides fondations à la track Unremitting Anxiety. On n'est pas ici pour sauter en l'air sur des breaks putassiers (ouais, ok,ça nous fait plaisir à nous aussi de temps à autre), on est ici pour apprécier de la très grande qualité, de la musique faite pour être vraiment écoutée. Vous savez comment c'est, on entend plein de trucs sympas, qu'on aime bien et puis parfois, un artiste se détache vraiment du lot, avec un son singulier, une vraie inventivité, une intelligence dans la composition. Voilà, cet artiste c'est E.L.I, cet album c'est Smile Through the Sorrow. Et c'est vraiment bien

Obscura marks the fifth full length studio album by Plaster excluding collaborative, live and split albums. Written between 2019 and 2022, Obscura is the result of a very deep research of Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri in both composition and sound design’s world. The fifteen tracks which build the album are splitted into two parts, A and 𝝮.
According to Gianclaudio, the concept of the compositions is based on the feminine world, to its darkest and brightest side, to Its power and delicacy but also refers to the death of Mahsa Amini in Iran and the following Iranian protests. The tracks are filled with elements of protest messages, words of hope, stories of femicide, fragments and tributes of the imaginary feminine world of Gianclaudio.
The sound is clearly a step forward into the Plaster’s production, we can hear a lot of new inputs, like poetry, distorted guitars, vocals used as the main instrument, but on the other side, Obscura brings back the memories of early works. There’s a lot of passion and cohesion between the tracks and this is not an album which aims for fast listenings or streaming skipping. Obscura will be released by Textvra in spring 2023 via limited printed canvas (22 copies in memory of the age of Mahsa Amini) and worldwide digital distribution as well.
