Hi! I'm Zoë, a singer, songwriter and composer from the UK. I first sang publicly at the age of 9 and started writing and playing the piano when I was 15. Since then I've written many more songs and pieces of music, made two studio albums for charity, gained an HNC at the Academy of Music and Sound in Edinburgh and a BA Hons degree in Composition at Edinburgh Napier university. 

When people ask me to describe my music, I find it difficult to categorise it, and when others listen, they usually understand the difficulty. I think the most important thing is that it can be appreciated and that people enjoy listening. The main thing I want to achieve is to make people feel something. I think that's what music is for, for the most part... Don't you think?

The Long Lies are a 4 piece from the west of Scotland formed in 2010. The band have come a long way in the short time together, and - after extensive gigging in Scotland with good reactions, the band released their debut single 'Trouble' in June 2012.

After radio airplay of the single from Vic Galloway on BBC Radio Scotland and Jim Gellatly, the band were then invited to take part in the 'City Showcase' festival in London in October 2012.

Gary McCready is one of the most promising sound production students I've met. He is one of my favourite people to record with as he makes sure to get the exact sound I am looking for. He's also easy on the eyes, which is always a plus. Kirsty Marquis

Gary was highly recomended to us by a lecturer in the college. We done 2 all day sessions and ended up becoming quite friendly. Attention to detail and input were clear from the start and liked to try different techniques to get the sound he was looking for. Mixes sounded great,I think in time he will do well for himself
