Theory Therapy 43 is by the Russian-born artist Alexandra Zakharenko aka Perila. For me, there’s nobody capable of conveying the ephemeral beauty of the everyday quite like Sasha. Her music and mixes are a language beyond words. 

We’re so pleased to finally welcome her on to the Theory Therapy series with this very special mix entitled “Aren't We Here To Experience Something We Haven't”.

Discovering last year’s Hysterical Love Project’s self-released debut album “Endless Bliss Weekender” was a personal highlight. Resulting in a release on Knekelhuis as Ike Zwanikken at the ‘and felt like...’ compilation. Hysterical Love Project is the project from the love couple Brooklyn & Ike. In which they craftfully compose a refreshing modern take on the slow sensual realm of Triphop, Ambient and hazy shoegaze. 

They will release their first physical album soon on the amazing label Motion Ward. And there is an unreleased upcoming track in here. Bliss.

Perila is a St. Petersburg-born, Berlin-based sound and visual artist, DJ and performer who works to explore the sensitive borderlines and depths of subtle matter. Her music explores thick narratives with shifting moods and textures, allowing the listener to drift through a rich psychedelic sound palette. Perila’s passion for radio led her to curate and design Berlin Community Radio, where she hosted monthly for four years, and to co-found Russian online station radio.syg.ma which specializes in experimental soundscapes. In addition to showcasing her unique ventures through ambient music, her show has also welcomed the likes of Andrew Pekler, Dynamo Dreesen, and Tomoko Sauvage. Perila also curates an online community WET (Weird Erotic Tension), which explores ideas of sonic sexuality in mixing spoken word, poetry, ASMR and field recordings. Since 2020 Perila has been involved with the musical projects Aseptic Stir, LOG, and Critical Amnesia.

~ a meadow of flowers ~

After a dark year+ of life's growing pains, with the decision to move home to Wales, ending a big relationship, reaching for the future self.
A meadow of flowers became my light, a vision of the future and a safe space to grow, to reclaim my senses.
During all the change, the vision of the meadow would keep me calm and somehow became my beacon.

Now I'm living amongst the meadows, nurturing the soul, resetting, mourning, celebrating, all that came before.

To be able to share this soundpiece on that day, my birthday, full moon rising of course, meant so so much.
To see all these conscious beings feel it, go into the soil, feel the growing journey, then dance like frolicking flowers, was so special, eternally grateful for that platform to express the truth <3

Thank you so much to the Les Siestes community, was such a special festival, to celebrate adventurous sound. 
A free public event, set in the Japanese zen garden in Toulouse.
The wether was so moody all weekend, but somehow the concerts stayed dry, then sun even came out for my set, a birthday gift to me :))
Will treasure that day forever xx
