 Tony has been selecting and collecting vinyl since 1989.​ From a young age he gravitated toward rap and dance music. While consistently gigging and building his vinyl collection throughout the 90’s, he frequently traveled throughout New York and out of state, rummaging through thrift shops, garage sales, and dirt piles to uncover the gems of the past that were used as samples in many of the records that he admired.​ He was greatly inspired and drawn into the world of rare grooves, spanning a range of genres such as disco, jazz, soul, Latin and African. He really enjoys sharing beautiful and eclectic music that is not widely known but worthy of high praise, and at times he makes available his personal edits for release on his co-owned label, Made in NY Records.

ran the instrumental a and b sides of my in progress lp through my small panasonic portable cassette player to an ancient tape i got from the inside of an answering machine. it sounds like shit but i really adore it. grinding so hard to make this album as perfect as i can but im already so in love with it. working on a remaster and i want to have it release for real by the end of this upcoming week

The chances we were going to get an exclusive podcast from Ketiov (one of the duo that is Catz 'n Dogz) was slim to none. We have been trying for a couple of years now but between him dropping countless remixes, original productions, starting a music festival in Warsaw, running the Pets Recordings label, and world touring what seems like every weekend, we knew it would be a long shot. Until, today... when he threw us this gorgeous mix... It was entirely worth the wait.
