Capping off a strong run of guests on Bright Patterns is a collaborative set by brothers Karl & Ken Meier. Though these exceptional humans are immensely talented as individuals, it’s an honor to hear them perform together and in this experimental, ambient zone curated for the morning. As cofounders of Standards & Practices with Jonathan Krohn (Stave), Karl and Ken will feature forthcoming music from their label, plus unreleased tracks on like-minded imprints such as Downwards and Monastral. Standards & Practices continues this year with new releases by Krohn/Mjolsness and Stave.

On this month’s show, Organic Analogue Records are excited to welcome Papadopoulopoulos, a deep cover DJ duo residing in Bristol, UK.
The name choice “Papadopoulopoulos” is a funny take on Greece’s most popular surname “Papadopulos” and since the late 60s has also gained a certain political weight. 
As a DJ duo, they are very much into creating complex auditory and emotional soundscapes, drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of different genres and taste, something they both have very much in common. One chair, one dream.

Phasered love trembles silently through the thick, cigarette-ridden club air, in some pop-up underground club in London. Red and white polka-dot dresses bounce against warm, sweaty legs of cheery, glassy eyed girls. Their gold ear loops dangling and cherry red lipstick move and sway  and flow with the ecstasy of the club, blinded by the music, everyone lost in a trance. You see a girl sucking on a strawberry lollipop - as tongue meets lollipop, her eyes peer into yours. The music becomes fused with the moment. Feel the calm release of escapism  as Shawn brings a wicked mix full of tracks to get any rosie-clad girl moving and shaking.
