Today marks the 10th anniversary of what will probably be my favourite ever Plex party - PCM2. 

So please sit back (or pump your fists in the air) and enjoy an hour live set from the immense Ugandan Methods AKA Regis and Ancient Methods. 

It was only the second time they performed live under this moniker with the first being in Berlin a few months previously.

This will be the beginning of a series of archival releases from the Plex vaults which will include DJ & live sets from all of our parties between 2006-2018. They are recordings straight from the desk and bar editing have had minimal treatment applied to keep them as true to the way they sounded when initially performed on the night.

Oubli is a music collective founded in 2018 by Aceedo, Soul Case & DJ Ux.

Aceedo is a Skopje-raised, Berlin-based promoter and DJ. His journey started back in 2018 when, together with his best friends Soul Case and DJ Ux, he formed Oubli - a music collective that aims to enrich the rather sluggish underground scene in Macedonia. Primarily working as a booker and promoter, he started spinning music during Covid and recorded his first mixes for Amok Radio in Skopje. Later, he continues his journey as a DJ and plays in places like Minus Eden, VHF Bar, etc. His approach to music is rather unique and can be described as a mind-expanding journey through the sounds of the late 80s and early 90s perfectly blended with fresh releases from nowadays. Together with Soul Case, they run 50eurogigs - a captivating YouTube channel dedicated to digging and sharing rare, unheard gems from across the globe.

Soul Case is the alias of Bojan Janev, a Skopje-based DJ, digger, and promoter. Motivated by the lack of support given to young, creative individuals, he is constantly trying to push things forward - personally and diversifying and supporting the local scene. His projects “Oubli” and the more recent “Amok Radio”, quickly gained huge appreciation
from people in and outside of the country and turned out to be a much-needed refreshment in a rather dull society. He has become a staple in Skopje’s underground scene, holding various residencies at the legendary “Sektor 909” and the more recent “Minus Eden” club. He hasn’t gone unnoticed outside the country’s borders too - having spun records
across dance floors in Japan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, and more.

DJ Ux has been present in the Macedonian club scene for quite some time now and quickly became recognized for bringing back the glory days of 80s and 90s music. Starting his career under the influence of hip-hop DJs like DJ Premier, Qbert, Jazzy Jeff, and other greats, he has quickly moved over to mixing all kinds of electronic sounds. As a resident DJ in Sektor 909 (2018-2020) and part of the "Idemo Tuesday" residency in Minus Eden (2021-2022), Ux always makes sure to keep the crowd moving on all kinds of electronic beats. Apart from his residencies and playing in bars and clubs, he is one of the founders of Oubli and the more recent Amok Radio which in 2021 helped to raise back the underground music scene during and after the Corona outbreak.

Years of Denial is the project of French musician Jerome Tcherneyan, former times drummer of cult British band Piano Magic and music producer since 1997, and Czech performance & music artist, singer-songwriter & poet Barkosina Hanusova. Active since 2016, the duo has become known across the globe for their well-crafted sharp productions and electrifying live performances.

Utilizing hardware and a plethora of dub devices combined with Barkosina’s unmistakable vocals, the pair revisit the dark corners of post-punk, goth, new beat, EBM, industrial, and rave culture. Their live shows inject rhythmic beats and pulsating arpeggios with heavy electronics fused with a spacey psychedelic sonic treatment. The duo operates on the dance floor with a powerful performative representation creating an excursive, unforgettable experience. 

Well known for their fruitful discography, much of which is created inside the infamous Ark of Noise studios, the project's prolific output includes a variety of releases on Death & Leisure, Pinkman, and Khemia, to name a few, not to mention the front-runner 2xLP Suicide Disco (Veyl 2019), an extraordinary offering that set fire to dance floors everywhere and is also the name the duo coined to describe their sound. The release spawned a massive remix EP featuring reworks from Silent Servant, Orphx, Broken English Club, and Alexey Volkov.

In 2023 YOD releases Suicide Disco II (Veyl), a triumphant return, elevating their distinct sound and delivering 12 all-new tracks, which will also return them to the live stage to continue to captivate and further build on the project’s form and legacy.
