@wellbeingg makes his return to @dancealldayrecords with DAD011, following up on the excellent 2019 release ‘Acid Expedition' The 4-track EP is an insightful journey through the different chapters of Dan Kirschner’s radiant sound spectrum, aptly titled ‘Mystical Visions’. Each of the tracks exuberate with meticulous programming, harmonic synthesis and crisp sound design, weaving their way through eco house, deep tech, glitchy electro and ethereal breaks.

Masterfully weaving between club, melodic house and driving techno, Devoye hits every sweet spot jumping across genres with his hefty production and impeccable music taste.

Devoye has numerous self-released albums and banging DJ tools that have been shelling down dance floors across the city.

The talented producer inherited his passion for music from his father Neville Folkes, also known as Raja More, a New York rapper and reggae artist with releases stretching back to the height of Nervous Records in the 90s.

Shannon spoke to Devoye about his musical upbringing, his passion for teaching and the drums, his buzzing DJ career and how things are coming full circle with his next release.

A. I wanted to make a groovy, sultry and tripped out mix for the series. Most of the tracks have a sense of psychedelia or euphoria going on. Aka sex on 🍄

I often think about my life being cut short. How disappointing it would be. To not be able to see myself grow old or not getting have a chance at achieving my goals.

I often think about how I’ve failed in my life. Disappointing my close friends and disappointing myself. I constantly reflect on what i could have done better but all i can do is move forward and make the changes necessary to avoid it happening again.

This mix is inspired by those spirals, these songs help me find comfort in my pain and disappointment. They also inspire me to keep moving forward. We constantly experience death, whether that’s emotional or physical. All we can do is our repair our broken selves and get ready for the next day. 

I hope to be born again.
