Thank you for inviting me to be a part of this @ednamartinezdj . Made a mix with songs that say more than anything I could write really.....Going to play two songs I wrote a while ago, one which I performed live in January 2020 at the Museum of Memory & Human Rights in Santiago and another which was made shortly after, they're both influenced by what was taking place in Chile at the time which mirrors in some ways what we are seeing in Colombia now. As some of you may know, since the end of april in Colombia there have been more than 2,000 cases of police violence against protesters, 33 victims of eye injuries and more than 40 civilians killed by the police. Since the beginning of the year more than 60 rights defenders have been assasinated, and among them 20 were indigenous leaders. Since 2016, over 400 human rights defenders have been killed. In all this darkness, there may be some hope that the protests can create meaningful change. Last Sunday, Chileans elected a new group of citizens who will write a new constitution for the country. This was one of the core demands of the huge protests of 2019/2020.  It will be the first anywhere in the world to be written by an equal number of men and women and it will replace the constitution that has been in place since the years of the military dictatorship.  The only reason this moment of hope is possible in Chile is because of the incredible social movements that rose up to demand change. As I've said elsewhere, the courage and determination of Chilean students, activists, protesters, writers, artists has been astounding and they have/are shifted/shifting the political landscape and will continue to do so. In the past month I've heard stories of Colombian protesters taking cues from Chilean protesters and beautiful solidarity between Colombians and Palestinians also. We have so much to learn from each other. May this solidarity and interconnectedness bring us better days and in the meantime may music sustain us and nourish us. "Kaifeng-born, now London-based Yu Su is a musician, DJ, sound artist and occasional chef. As one of the most prominent Chinese artists with a highly unique voice working across the globe in the last 5 years, her output covers all the ground you’d expect and more. Her multiple critically acclaimed records on UK’s Technicolor (Ninja Tune), Netherlands’s Music from Memory and China’s own Bie Records has seen her nominated for Canada’s Polaris Prize. She has co-produced music with John Carroll Kirby, Duval Timothy and is known for remix works for Parquet Courts, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, and many more. As a DJ, she is unpredictable, idiosyncratic; just “casually having the dance floor transfixed” have put her on the spotlights at clubs and festivals internationally like Dekmantel, Glastonbury, Boiler Room, iii Points, Nuits Sonores, Rainbow Disco Club, Phonox and so on. She has also recently been featured on the cover of Mixmag magazine, marking the first Chinese cover star. She has composed for feature films and fashion brands like Sacai, Jimmy Choo and London/Shanghai based SAMUEL GUÌ YANG."

Eluize approaches her DJ sets and productions, creating and playing music that evokes spectrums of emotion, resonating viscerally through the meticulous interplay of elements.

Whether through delicate, reflective production on her latest LP “Believe”, disco drenched elation on “Curious Bliss”, gritty EBM on “Lucidity” or the orchestration of decadent escapes on dance floors when DJing, the Australian’s artistry speaks to the senses.

Eluize drenches brisk house with a prog touch in acid. In her sets, selections entwine and move together, rather than succumbing to excess, the rave locks into flow. Listeners will find themselves drawn inwards time and again, guided by ethereal breaks, often lead by Eluize’s vocals, the breathing space she creates for dancers, and the energy of the tracks themselves.

Bond is a DJ from Buenos Aires and a member of the LGBTQIA+ collective LOCA, He is the founder and director of Radio LOCA and LOCA Rec, platforms dedicated to consciously promoting and representing the careers of queer and dissident artists from Latin America.

This mix is a journey through the current pulse of the queer electronic scene in the Global South. A showcase of the sound of Buenos Aires, featuring tracks by fellow local producers, unreleased gems, and previews of Bond’s upcoming EP out in May via Pansa Records.
