It’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years since Throne of Blood Recordings began. Originally conceived as a platform to release vinyl singles from NYC legends The Rapture, the label has grown and evolved into a stalwart of leftfield electronic music and a launchpad for some massively influential artists including Daniel Avery and Bicep.
This new yorker label never needed an excuse to celebrate, but hitting this milestone has made us contemplate our place in the world, reflecting on the relationships that have made Throne of Blood such an integral part of our lives and our legacy as an incubator for tomorrow’s most remarkable artists. So we’ve put together a series of anniversary EPs that bring our past and future together on the dance floor.
The first of four releases, Anniversary EP #1 features longtime friend and label collaborator Chloé Thévenin of Parisian powerhouse Lumiere Noire Records, label manager Max Pask in collaboration with Tigersushi mainman Joakim (for the first time since their killer edit of Evan’s Pyramid for Cultures Of Soul), NYC techno mainstay and Bunker affiliate Justin Cudmore, and Liona, a wildly talented producer from Ulaanbaatar.
Four musical points of view with one goal in mind: making people dance. And there’s loads more to come across four EPs dropping this Fall.

ITALO MODERNI brings Modernation Vol.4 it’s the last compilation from 4 and this time on vinyl. We finish this compilation with the best quality in production with artists like Timothy J. Fairplay, Alessandro Adriani, Chino, Chupacabras, Leroy Se Meurt, Univac and Adrian Marth. The A-side sounds like a late-80s industrial EBM cut but with a strictly new future concept inside of each track, while the b-side goes more Electro eighties weird sounds strong with metallic beats perfect for the adventurous working DJ. Everything with that futuristic touch that surrounds us today in the electronic music scene.

Captain Mustache is a French music producer and DJ from Paris.

Since 2020, he made releases on some of the greatest labels of the scene: Kompakt, Exploited, Mobilee, Permanent Vacation, Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder, and a full album on John Digweed's Bedrock Records, with a constant support from the best DJ's in the world.

As a true Electronic music lover, he worked with some Electro idols (Dave Clarke, Chicks on Speed, Adamski, The Advent, Paris The Black Fu, Keith Tucker from AUX88...) to bring an extra vocal dimension to his music.

Inspired by 80's pioneers, Detroit techno and Electroclash freaks, we can define his sound as romantic & burlesque.
