Kurilo - Yevhenii Kurylo was born in Ukraine, in Kharkiv, on 11.08.1999.
Based in Berlin now.
Since the age of 12, Yevhenii has been playing percussion instruments.
After much practice, his first purchase was a Roland SPD-SX drum sampler, which encouraged him to participate in a hip-hop project.
His passion for music quickly turned into a desire to DJ and write electronic music. During his sets, he mostly plays vinyl. But he also loves playing live performances. His collection is rapidly expanding with releases from the 90s and so on.

The, at the moment, Berlin based Yevhenii Kurylo delivers a 60 minutes mix full of peak time club bangers and dreamy electronical landscapes. Originated from Hip-Hop he quickly found his passion in making music with analogue machines. With more than 15 Vinyl releases, being the Label head of his own Etat Label, as well being the co-founder of the Label Trance Pandemic, he’s a musical heavyweight.

Kurilo is an emerging artist form Ukraine currently based in New York. 
Since the age of 12, Yevhenii has been playing percussion instruments.After much practice, he joined the project as an electronic percussionist.His passion for music quickly turned into a desire to DJ and write electronic music. During his sets, he mostly plays vinyl’s. But he also loves playing live performances. His collection is rapidly expanding with releases from the 90s and so on.

Now Kurilo writes music, prepares live performances and works on new releases. He has already released more than 20 vinyl VA and EPs and doesn’t stop there. Kurilo is also a Co-founder of the Trance Pandemic label, founder of Etat label and a resident of the Tvir label. Mostly played in Europe, also at the Boiler Room in Berlin.

New addition to the Saga! Kurilo (@kurilogeny) is a Ukrainian artist whom we’ve been closely! You’re wondering why? Well it’s quite simple, with more than 20 records released on multiple labels, the founder of Etat_records and Trance Pandemic (with his partner Komponente) has been regularly present in our bags since his first outputs. 

He’s now based in New York, and we’re thrilled to have him onboard for an hour of unapologetic tracks, an hour of typical Kurilo sound.

Phonica Mix Series 6: Slow Life

“I’ve been preparing this live show for the past two years, since back when I was living in Berlin. After moving to New York, I realized that no one here would be interested in me doing live shows, but at one point I realized that I needed to kick it up a notch and do what I love. So now I want to share with everyone what I’ve been working on for years.”

Kurilo (Yevhenii Kurylo), Ukrainian-born and NYC-based, is the co-founder of Trance Pandemic label, founder of Etat label, and a resident of the Tvir label. He writes, prepares live performances, and has already released more than 25 vinyl VAs and EPs. Since age 12, Yevhenii has been immersed in music, starting with percussion instruments and later evolving into electronic percussion. His passion for music naturally led him to DJing and producing electronic music. Known for his vinyl-heavy sets and love for live performances, his collection continues to grow, showcase rare, timeless releases from the 90s and beyond.
