Bside Incoming: Alex Virgo

The latest instalment of the Bside Podcast (ep #161) is hosted by a very exciting producer and talented DJ based in London: Alex Virgo 

His prolific music production and electrifying DJ sets have caught the attention of tech-house heavyweights Eats Everything and Patrick Topping: His tracks regularly featuring in their sets, and more recently being released on their labels ‘Edible’ and ‘Trick’. Alex Virgo has since began blazing his own trail with Pomme Frites records, a label full of exciting artists, original productions and some amazing remixes. 

So let’s sit back and take a ride through some of the music that inspires his own writing, and brings excitement to the danefloors of his DJ sets. Expect jazz infused house, thumping 4/4 beats, intricate build ups, and a dash of disco, all from the Bside of course.

For this 5th show, Flabaire (@flabaire) recorded a mix for your ears brodcasted on Internet Public Radio (@internetpublicradio) based in Guadalajara.

Between his work as co-owner of Parisian label D.KO records (@collectif-dko), and playing bass with Secret Value Orchestra (@secret-value-orchestra), Flabaire carved his own fashion of French-style cosmic house, inspired by a discography built through his formative years. Fast forward to the age of 27, two albums already released and a third one to come this fall. Flabaire appeared already throughout France, and internationally in Tresor (Berlin), Pratersauna (Vienna), and various venues in Mexico City, he is on a mission to share both through label and gigs, his take on a new wave of House, french-style.
