@Rootian take us into a journey from beginning to end, opening Yuyu’s basement, one of the most prominent and representative clubs in Mexico City. During the October’s full moon, Luis invites us to explore an atmospheric landscape of sound full of layers, tension and sonic textures. 

Like many of other contemporary peers in México who operate within Mexico’s deconstructed club scene, he experiments with broken-polyrhythmics beats or that try to break away from the 4x4 narrative, Rootian has a deep, psychedelic sound that is rich in information, which characterizes him and transports us through spaces in a spiral of emotions, expansively evolving in BPMs, ranging from 100 up to 170.

In these sets, where the freedom of movement is settled, Luis narrates places with dark skies, bleak future and dystopian universes, creating multi-layered scapes and a variety of moods, that sometimes are unsettling and sometimes are captivating, throughout a subtle, moving, and immersive sonic design. The diversity of rhythms unfolds as if in a automative factory, and the set builds up a rhythmic and acid tension, like small fireworks painting themselves slowly, merging with winding emotions that intensify towards the end of the listening experience.

@Rootian nos presenta un viaje de principio a fin abriendo el basement de YuYu, uno los clubes referentes de la Ciudad de México. Durante la luna llena de octubre, Luis explora paisajes de atmósferas sonoras con capas, tensión y texturas.

Como varixs de sus contemporánexs de México que se mueven dentro del deconstructed club, los ritmos rotos o que intentan salir de las narrativas 4x4, Rootian tiene un sonido profundo, psicodélico y cargado de información, que lo caracteriza y nos transporta a través de espirales envueltas en emociones y que expansivamente evolucionan en bpms, desde los 100 hasta llegar a los 170.

En estos sets, donde se denota la libertad de movimiento, Luis nos relata lugares de cielo oscuro, futuro sombrío y universos distópicos, creando múltiples capas, espacios simbólicos y variedad de estados de ánimo, que a veces incomodan y a otras nos catapultan, con un diseño sonoro sutil, conmovedor y absorbente. La diversidad de ritmos van sucediendo como si de una fabrica automotriz se tratara y el set aumenta de tensión rítmica y ácida, como pequeños fuegos artificiales pintados lentamente, fundiéndose con emociones serpenteantes que aumentan de intensidad hacia el final de la escucha.
