Ever feel like you're about to crash? You’re not alone.
Ceaseless cycles of the crash and its many forms map our history:

● economic: the sudden collapse of stock markets.
● demographic: the sudden decline of populations.
● hardware: the sudden malfunctioning of family computers after using Limewire.
● emotional: the sudden realization that you have been mooching baccy from crusties at a clatty afters for 3 days.

Despite its endless semblances, the og crash is the car crash. Trailing streamers of electric emotion can be found in the ritual collision of the automobile. Sites of our collective imagination, their rhythms of destruction are understood as terminal symptoms of the technological age; as a metallic rite of passages - vehicles of liminal liberation & sexual rebirth; or for the laymen amongst us - a tasty insurance claim $$. Whatever ur two cents, the car crash seems to be our unequivocal condition.

The cult of the car crash is well and truly alive - in eerie lay-bys, empty-car parks and busy intersections - they bring us together at high velocity. Together with the original B, Vani-T, this is a collection of tracks 2 brace for the high-impact - sexy, sincere and seminal.

This one goes out to the whiplash kru. We'll be taking you through for the first hour followed by Vani-T in the second xo

Esquisse-o-phrenia 2019/2022
I’ ve worked this piece as a transformation of other duo for flute and piano named “El reino del rêve” .
The continuous reworking of a set of gestures, rewritten again and again obsessively and the composition
of the tape part, were part of a process in which the polarities between sound forms seemed to be irreductible.
In one side the exploration of the instrumental energetic modalities , in the other side the search for a goal oriented syntax and the need of use harmonic to organise the musical space.

Esquisse-o-phrenia for flute , piano and electronics

started with track picture and abstracted from there-various sound sources as instruments mapped to picture with various non traditional scales

Can't believe Animix is already at it's twentieth mix! I am delighted that no.20 comes from @kikimolina, all the way from Santiago, Chile. Kiki has been a drummer/percussionist their whole life, and works as an anthropologist, recently focusing on pre-Columbian American music and instruments. With mixes, Kiki aims to create a ritual and lasting space, long, languid ideas, and an essence of calm... 

Gracefully done, this mix is just that. An other-wordly float through electronica, ambient & beyond.

K: Who exactly is executive lunch?

EL: Executive lunch is an afternoon special at Cafe Brasil in Culver City, a gentleman’s short-lived escape from atomization, a creature birthed in São Paulo and raised in the desert.

EL: This is your second pipipi mix. What has changed since your first?

K: Well first of all I guess I live in California now. Very grateful to you for luring me out to the crazy weirdness of Los Angeles. It’s been a strange year to move to a new city, but I feel at home having you as my rock and the handful of friends that have woven in and around our lives these past 12 months. Musically this one feels so different than my last pipipi - every song has some story or place associated with it that we shared together. Also, there’s a certain playfulness that you brought out in me which doesn’t come out as much solo.

K: If you could live inside of a fruit, which would it be and why?

EL: I would live inside of a pomegranate, for the texture

EL: What was your best interaction with a more-than-human life form this year?

K: When a black & white cat appeared at my back porch in LA and left a dead mouse on the door. We tried to leave water or food but he didn’t really stick around for it. Still not sure if he wanted anything in return or if he was just feeling particularly generous that night.

K: Take your favorite song from our mix, and describe the feeling you had when you first heard it

EL: I don’t know if it was the very first time I heard it, but the track with the most potent memory is no vale Na by Chico Blanco. Early in the lockdown, vibing down PCH with dear friends Sam & Chase en route to Topanga, where we all snuck into a park to watch the meteor shower from the wet grass
