A Boorloo born treasure returns to its home shores for the holidays. The undeniably adored Jo has been and still continues to be an integral part of the music community spanning between Perth & Melbourne. Although Jo had already left for Melbourne before I got to meet her, her name was echoed among peers whether it be the alias Toni Yotzi (RIP Tony Yozzi) or Jo. From Day Woo to Deep Doogs Jo’s commitment to bring alternative dance parties to the scene never went unnoticed or unappreciated. No matter how far and wide her talents may take her across this globe, she will always remain a true G.

Jo: "I love when the environment allows for a long game, when music feels like mist, an all encompassing presence but not intrusive. There's no anxiety waiting for the next track to be mixed quickly, with long form music being woven into a new journey. I love subtle intensity, metallic textures with breathing room, sweetness and lots of melancholia. 

I've finally come to place where I 'mostly' feel mixes exist because of a certain time and emotional place. It's not the last exploration, so they don't need to represent all parts of you in your entirety. They're a moment, not your life's work.

Here's this one, not perfect, but from where I was standing everything and everyone was. 

I can't properly describe what a deep joy it was to play for old + new friends. I am profoundly grateful that a year of missing, distance and disconnection allowed me to feel so embraced and cared for throughout the beautiful Boorloo summer. Thank you Monty ❤ thank you friends, thank you family.
