One of the latest works was a remix of 'I Would Die 4 You' from the famous, one and only 'Prince'.

He ponders the numbing feeling of helplessness when ideas just wouldn’t come to him for weeks. The only way out of his dilemma was to explore the nature of inspiration itself. What does it mean to be inspired? To have ideas – or to lack them?

Then suddenly, as the sky swiftly clears up, inspiration begins to flow. Something happens, something so hard to put into words yet so easy to be entranced by. When in a brief moment of equilibrium, worries and euphoria seem to be perfectly balanced. You can almost feel the air crackling and sizzling with energy. The Lovepools are an indie rock duo from Los Angeles making sun-bleached, bedroom-born anthems with big hooks and bigger heart. Their debut single See You In The Funny Papers appeared in the Shameless Season 9 premiere, but their story starts long before that.

Frontman Anthony Shea has been recording since he was a kid—using cassette decks, hand-me-down instruments, and anything he could plug a guitar into. Even after studying at Musicians Institute, he kept returning to the intimate chaos of home recording. Every Lovepools track still begins and ends in his East Hollywood bedroom.

The band took shape when Anthony moved to Little Armenia and became roommates with bassist Aria Cruz, who immediately connected with his songs. The two started performing around LA, blending their influences with an unfiltered, DIY honesty.

In 2020, The Lovepools signed with Sword Music with European distribution through Sony Music Italy, releasing a run of singles including White Lies & Palm Trees which aired on MTV Italy and Sky News.  White Lies & Palm Trees - Pool House Remix earned a major Spotify editorial placement with over 90k streams.

This year, The Lovepools hit the stage at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by a performance in New York at the Jeffrey Deskovic Spring Gala. Now releasing music at a faster pace and bringing their high-energy show to bigger crowds, The Lovepools continue building their world—one bedroom recording, sunlit chorus, and chaotic live night at a time.
