Riaan, who lives in Paarl, South Africa,  started out with music on the piano and the organ at the age of six. At the seven, he got his first guitar, and at about the same age started developing a passion for the drums from watching the next door neighbour’s band  practises.

Combining the glory of roots music with catchy hooks and pop arrangements in a modern blues-rock format we strive to get a crowd moving and dancing with a solid groove-based rhythm section as well as melodic, soulful, sing along guitar and vocal lines.

My musical journey started at the age of 4 listening to my Dad's 50's and 60's albums. The melodies and lyrics of these timeless tracks have been imprinted deep in my mind and stirred my love for music. I played drums and piano at school, sang in the choir and took music as a subject. At university I started guitar and that was that... until... TECHNO.  Techno has a special place in my musical soul and I'm at my happiest when playing thick techno for passionate music lovers. I recently completed an Ableton music production course to let loose my own ideas... watch this space.
