This song solidified what this album would be to all of us. Before the pandemic, I had been thinking on legacy and what we leave behind. Early in March 2020 my grandfather began to pass, and I had the first verse of this song finished.  Jens and I played it over FaceTime to him, and eventually I sang it at his funeral.  It talks about what we get from those before us, and what we pass on to the ones we love, related or not.  That theme of family and familiarity sets the tone for the whole record.  It started as a fingerpicked tune, but has ended as a rollicking celebration with the banjos and guitars TCB is known for.
