Some might say the future looks bleak, but it doesn’t in the world of Tim Bernhardt. Better known as Satin Jackets, he manages to see a light at the end of the tunnel with his new single “The Future” - created together with the Australian veteran collaborator Panama. As we stumble into a new year, Tim manages to move forward with a song that washes over you like warm, rolling waves, cascading again and again. “The Future” conveys a sense of comfort and hope, while its subconscious repetition provides the pulse that makes you feel alive. As Panama sings: “There in my heart, in the future”, there is no doubt that what is coming may be uncertain, but Satin Jackets is here to tell you that it will be alright. Wherever you might be listening to “The Future” - be it at a beach club, on a mountain top, or at a rooftop bar - Tim's ability to make you feel in the right moment, at the right place is at play once more.

“The Future” is the first song to be released on Tim’s own independent imprint “Golden Hour”. It’s a symbolic title for a song predicting what’s coming.


Manche mögen denken, dass die Zukunft nicht immer rosig aussah in letzter Zeit, aber in der Welt von Tim Bernhardt ist das nicht der Fall. Besser bekannt als Satin Jackets, schafft er es, mit seiner neuen Single “The Future”, die er zusammen mit dem australischen Musikveteranen Panama erschaffen hat, ein Licht am Ende des Tunnels zu sehen. Tim beginnt das neue Jahr mit einem Song, der einen mitreißt, wie eine Welle, die immer wiederkehrt und dabei ein wohliges Gefühl von Wärme, Trost und Hoffnung verbreitet. In der rhythmischen Wiederholung liegt ein fortwährender Puls, der Lebendigkeit verbreitet, während Panama singt “There in my heart, in the Future”. Die Zukunft mag ungewiss sein, aber Satin Jackets ist hier, um das Gefühl zu vermitteln, dass alles gut wird. Wo auch immer “The Future” laufen wird, sei es in einem Club am Strand, in einer Rooftop Bar oder auf einem Berggipfel - Tims Fähigkeit, im richtigen Moment das Gefühl zu geben, am richtigen Ort zu sein, ist stets ein Teil der Rezeptur.

“The Future” ist der erste Titel, der auf Tims eigenem Independent-Label “Golden Hour” veröffentlicht wird. Es ist ein symbolischer Titel für einen Song, der voraussagt, was kommen wird.
