If you love the wonky, tribal sound in the bass music realm then there’s no doubt that Jalaya is an artist who should be on your radar. Based out of the Bay Area, he’s been dominating the decks (and his electronic drum pads) at festivals for years with some of the most forward-thinking bass beats in the scene that take listeners to another dimension.

Influenced by his previous work for bands in a range of styles from Reggae to Metal, Jalaya brings a unique twist to the scene with beats that are brimming with powerful wubs you feel in your chest and uplifting elements that soothe your soul. And his skills go beyond just the fantastic sets and releases that have landed on labels like Sleeveless Records, as he works behind the scenes as the Executive Director of LoFreq Records as well.

Clocking in at just under 50 tracks over the course of the hour-long runtime of the mix, Jalaya throws down some absolute heaters from artists like Tiedye Ky, Sully, Antiserum, and JLEON. But the true standouts are his own tunes like “Westword,” “Yeah,” and “Space Bass,” as well as plenty of unreleased gems that will be landing on future releases.
