	Latvia might seem like an out of the way place to uncover new talent, but Liondub International digs into natty roots, and when Kenji came correct with an A-list of influences that include fellow LD Int’l soundmurder Hoogs & heavyweights Majistrate and Guv, we knew we were onto a good thing. He’s not new either and has been through deep dubstep, techno, and many other electronic areas leaving a heat trail across labels like Musik Hertz, Gun Audio, 3 Flow Recordings, and others in the digital realm and with notable support from DJ Hype and many more. For the 10th volume of our rugged $treet $eries, we’re proud to bring his beats from electronic waves to the concrete as he hits pay dirt with his Liondub label debut. ‘Gun Proof’ blasts out straight rudeboy style with bass bombs and layered synthesizer atmospheres that demonstrate his experience at the boards. With tempo and temperature rising, ‘In Yo Crib’ kicks down the door to run up in personal space with rough bassline-led jump up. The title tune ‘Latvian Style’ strips it further back to roughneck basics with plenty of space between the sparse elements to forward his production chops and floor-facing functionality. ‘Look at the Sky’ deploys the same skeletal tactics in an a roller, while closer ‘Primary Force’ fills out the sound palette with warring sample layers and tech step flex.  With sounds like this coming from Latvia, Liondub International made no hesitation to put his hometown on the map as the $treet $eries rolls deep into its tenth edition.

Khanum's 'Rattle Snake' opens with a drastic take on atmospherics, all melting to the outer walls of the stereo image. The complex snare may remind of dub craftsmanship, while the erratic roar targets a different group: an excellent blend of two extremes.
