Sebastian Weikum Pres. Junostar - Chordplay (Original Mix) [Free Download]

In early 2017, Michael A debuted on Proton Music with the outstanding "Bright Hope". Full of his trademark craft and vision, Particles now revisits the EP with remixes from two North American artists.

Adopting the contracted, Dezza, for his scintillating work, Canadian born, Derek Silvester, is an artist with an exceptional production pedigree. Able to call upon Above and Beyond, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk as fans of his music, Dezza has found his tracks allied to a host of blue-chip imprints that include Colorize, Black Hole and Silk Music. Over four-hundred production credits to his name with a plethora along the Silk road, original EPs that include 2014's "Meekix/Derry" and 2016's "Brit", continue to place Dezza firmly on the industry map and the heads-up-display on the globe's top DJs. 

A debut remix for Proton Music in November 2010, reworking Mango and Kasuza's iconic "Asphalt Lines", is now complemented with a standout remix of "Seven". Intelligently taking the groove foundations central to Michael A's original, Dezza's skill is to rework them into a sonically charged offering that builds with spine-tingling momentum and trademark melodic skill. As elegant as it is effortless in execution, the resultant work is a track that generates a new direction based on the themes resonant in the original with a cornucopia of additional production material, rich harmonies and rhythmic flair.

Chicago born but now firmly ensconced in his adopted Greek homeland, Savvas Karabinos, has been involved in the dance music industry since the early 1990s. A renowned DJ and the host of numerous open-air parties, Savvas' work with Yosebu in 2000, under the name Acropod, witnessed a full-length album for Klik Records. With over a double century of production credits to his name since 2010, Savvas has continued to find his work valued by the finest modern underground imprints. Thus, Ready Mix Records, Motek Music and Submarine Vibes continue to extol the virtues of the prolific producer. Indeed, it is for the latter that the deep vibes of "Monsoon" can be heard alongside a remix from Jelly For The Babies for "Haunting Melodies".

Reworking the title track from Michael A's EP in a debut for Particles, the Savvas remix of "Bright Hope" is a deliciously deep offering that revels in rich percussive flow as shakers and wood blocks provide a rhythmic backdrop for evolving melodies to develop unencumbered by weight of expectation. Reminiscent of Jean-Michel Jarre with its cascading delayed motifs and soaring chord progressions, Savvas turns in an innovative new remix that intelligently reworks Michael A's components into a new and dynamic piece.


A pair of new remixes from Dezza and Savvas sees Michael A's music still full of "Bright Hope".

Guy J's prolific label Lost & Found is back with another amazing release featuring Eli Nissan,
Guy Mantzur and Roy Rosenfeld. Eli is an extraordinary producer who seems capable of
dramatically expanding his artform from one project to the next. Nissan utilizes arpeggiated
scores as a basis yet he spontaneously upgrades the harmonies resulting in intelligent and
abstract soundscapes. Karnaval is formulated on a trance-inducing Calypso influenced
melody. On this timeless foundation, Eli creates a radiant harmonic piece of never-to-be-
forgotten greatness. As if that were not enough, remixes make the whole release even easier
to adore. Inspired by future technologies, Guy Mantzur wanted to create a completely
different adaptation of Nissan's original idea. Guy’s hypnotic house adaptation created a
premium remix with something of an epic feeling. Roy Rosenfeld also brought his own flavor
of electronic sounds spiced up with a huge dose of gorgeous ethno elements. The only thing
these three versions share in common is the main theme and inventive sense for
arrangement and production. Definitely worthy of your time and attention!

For the next leg in the journey of Fur Coat's imprint Oddity, Italian duo EarthLife step into the fold with a comprehensive EP consisting of four original tracks, and a remix appearance from Coeus. EarthLife is an artistic project born from the collaboration of Luca Garzione and Luigi Gargano. Developing a unique sound concept by combing influences from multiple genres, they reach their objective of creating a refined sound, full of atmosphere.

Having previously contributed to the label with tracks on the Odd Echoes VA, this is the first time the pair put forward a full EP on the imprint. Opening the package is "Redemption". The title track stays true to the pair's description of themselves, with expert use of developing synth lines and atmospheric melodies, the sound transports you to a deeper place and is perfectly suited to frame a key moment on the dancefloor.

Next up is the second original "Italia" as well as a new take from Coeus who puts forward a remix. Slightly tougher than the opener, Italia presents a more driving rhythm, a track thats designed to push a set forward. Coeus's remix takes this a step further, with strong percussion elements combined with a catchy lead, moving the listener through.

Rounding off the EP we have "Figure Astratte" and "Grace". A fitting end to the package, both tracks complement each other nicely, whilst offering totally different vibes. Both are more paired back from the previous, with Figure Astratte offering a more rolling and chilled atmosphere. Grace follows suit, but features some beautiful chord and synth progressions to create a truly alluring atmosphere.
EarthLife's first full outing on Oddity does not disappoint.

A well-rounded collection of tracks that will see play on dancefloors and stereos alike. This has something for everyone, from the energetic opener, to the beautifully climatic closer.
