His production style varies from progressive to organic and deep house, and this time he opted for a slightly more progressive note and brings us an EP that consists of two originals accompanied by remixes by artists such as B.A.X. and Missus! The trio of performers who carry this release are the cream of One Of A Kind, which is why we hope to enjoy their sounds in the future.

Itaka stands for ‘influence’. On this album you can hear the different influences cities, countries, styles and artists had on me. In the 20 years I’m DJing and producing I developed my taste in music by traveling the world, meeting new people, seeing old friends and listening to new artists but also the living legends among us, which I tried to translate into this album. 

I began producing the album early 2020 in Prague, right after my last gig before the lockdown. And now, things in clubland are opening up little by little and it’s time to get it out in the open…

Alpine craftsmanship combines with Argentinean talent as The Wash and Ric Niels provide a new global partnership between Europe and South America. Through "Argaut", flexible rhythmic grooves ease their way atop throbbing beat and urgent bassline whilst silky pads add counterweight. Striking arp phrasing melts into hypnotic patterns before "Remote Madness" find a way to back to lucidity. Mercurio is the 19th release of Droid9 South America and the first release of the year 2022, releasing this new version format, remixes of songs that were already released last year.

Mercurio B side contains 3 remixes.
Nikko Mavridis is in charge of the Dharma remix by Imal released on our Athena compilation. It offers us a more hypnotic interpretation, maintaining the particular voices that the original has inspired by Buddhaism.

Sayonara by Ignacio Berardi and Colou Befu remixed by Uruguayan artists Alex Efe and Diego Berrondo, bring us a progressive house version with a breakdown loaded with emotions and harmonies that characterize their productions.

Axel Zambrano returns to work with us after his appearance on our second release with a magnificent performance towards Lattuce Day, one of our first tracks on Droid9 South America created by Cris Rosales. Axel brings us groove and euphoria in an ideal version to keep the dance floor on fire.
