Cornucopia returns to Guy J’s label Early Morning with a remix of Roots, the iconic track by Chopstick & Johnjon featuring Signaljacker. This release brings together some of electronic music’s most unique voices, merging legacy with forward momentum.

Early Morning, established as a platform for creative reinvention in electronic music, continues to evolve with a release that both reflects and expands its core vision. Cornucopia’s interpretation of Roots is an immersive journey spanning over seven minutes, maintaining the emotional heart of the original while reimagining its sonic landscape with precision and depth.

The remix preserves the enduring elements of Roots: Signaljacker’s sensual vocal, the melancholic atmosphere, and a thematic continuity that resonates deeply. Yet Cornucopia reframes these within a refined, futuristic aesthetic that feels both intimate and expansive.

Guy J's launch of Early Morning marked a bold step towards ushering in a new era of creative advancement. The label's ninth installment features Tantum's debut, comprising three tracks that collectively span nearly 22 minutes.

Tantum, known for blurring the lines between melodic techno and progressive house, has cemented an international reputation for his innovative sound in the electronic music sphere.

The title track, Out of Nowhere, embodies the notion that inspiration somehow often strikes unexpectedly. However, Tantum's hypnotic creation reflects countless hours of meticulous sound exploration and idea refinement.

Continuing with Unblur, the track builds on its predecessor with added energy, abstract effects, and creative audio engineering, crafting a psychedelic mosaic where bass and drums stand as steadfast anchors.

Rounding out the release is Out of Nowhere (Subandrio Remix), expertly crafted by DJ and producer Subandrio, whose upbringing across Europe and Sri Lanka infuses diverse cultural influences into his work. His remix not only honors Tantum's vision but also adds a distinct character, seamlessly merging two artistic perspectives into a cohesive whole. WHATCLASS, the trailblazing platform redefining music learning through artist-led Classes, mentorship, and structured curriculums, has joined forces with iconic DJ and producer Joris Voorn and his label, Spectrum, to offer a select group of emerging, and established, producers the opportunity to release their music on Spectrum.

Voorn, who has collaborated with WHATCLASS to create an exclusive tutorial, curated submissions from the platform's students, ultimately selecting five standout tracks for this debut WHATCLASS compilation. The resulting collection highlights innovative sounds and fresh perspectives from aspiring international artists.

Opening the compilation is Slovenian producer Eskape with 'Lost Desert,' a track that sets the mood with warm pads, wistful melodies, and ethereal vocals - a perfect introduction to our new Spectrum journey. Following is Brazilian duo Fernandez & Silvera with 'Parallel Life,' building on the momentum of their recent Purified signing 'Emptiness.' The duo's track combines delicate synths, flutes, and minimal percussion to create an uplifting, melodic soundscape.

Representing the UK, Jay Lapse raises the energy with 'CB1,' marked by relentless hi-hats, a pounding kick drum, and haunting keys that form a stark, desolate techno soundscape, softened by its eerie strings.

From there, the compilation shifts to a housier vibe with Swedish producer Magnuss and his groovy, deep houser 'I Can Feel It,' followed by the hypnotic, percussive beats of Shombo's 'Feel Ya' - two standout house cuts guaranteed to energise any dance floor and a fitting finale for this debut showcase of exciting talent.

The tenth edition of the Early Morning label stands as both a milestone and a statement of intent. In just a single year, its founder has reshaped the underground dance music landscape with a catalog that redefined the possibilities of the genre. This latest release features two new pieces that together form a tightly woven conceptual work spanning nearly seventeen minutes.

Guy J has built his reputation on reinvention. Each release feels less like a continuation of his past and more like a step into uncharted terrain. On the opening track, Worlds Apart, he fuses an emotive core with intricate sound design and spatial experimentation, leading listeners into liminal states where consciousness and subconsciousness blur. Despite its cerebral qualities, the piece never loses its pulse, the steady momentum that keeps it firmly anchored to the dancefloor.

Guy Mantzur unites all genres from tech to house, progressive to techno, with a uniquely melodic and storytelling sensibility. He's co-owner and A&R for Munich-based label Plattenbank and has long been in demand as a remixer and producer for top labels like Bedrock Records and Moments. Chicola is equally accomplished and infl uential as a long-time vinyl obsessive, globe-trotting DJ, and producer of sophisticated sounds that draw on his pianist background and off er rich musical harmony.

The pair open with the meticulously crafted ‘Neon Bible,’ a poised, ever-shifting cut built on subtle chord progressions and dubbed-out drums sprinkled with delicate percussive touches. Suspensory and hypnotic, it radiates a cosmic beauty that gently uplifts while drawing you deeper under its spell.
