In December 2018, Erdi Irmak embarked on another chapter in a successful music career with his "Hidden Arcadia" series on Proton Music. Fast forward to 2021 and the talented Turkish artist presents the sixth incarnation of the series with three new original tracks and a pair of remixes from Ireland and UAE based artists making up "Vol. 6".

"In Depth" is a typically impressive opener as a delicate percussive structure creates a central pillar from which smooth melodic branches grow organically around it. Gently pulsating pads add depth as an enveloping melodic trope creates a warm sonic blanket. "Far Apart" immediately showcases Erdi Irmak's trademark groove as a laidback rhythmic foundation replete with crunchy bass and rolling beat, paves the way for free-flowing melodic lines to meander across the 8-minute piece. Textured pads and white-noise effects complete a powerful narrative. The third original track sees "Around the River" delight with an intelligently worked cadence rippling across proceedings before syncopated synth phrases sit in perfect harmony. Developing with ease, a breakdown crescendo creates the sonic environment for the second half to become a hypnotic organic house triumph.

There are few more iconic names within the underground dance fraternity than, Silinder. Able to point to a plethora of Proton Music releases that include 2012's "Corrupt", 2013's "Solas" and 2014's "Basement", a clutch of remixes for the likes of Oliver Lieb, Derek Howell and Andre Sobota are now followed by a standout interpretation of "Nowhere Land". Originally part of "Vol. 5", the Silinder remix immediately impresses with its innovative use of melodic themes resonant in Erdi's original as a relaxed groove flows out of the 8-minute track with a hint of Lemon Jelly evident. Over an evolving sonic landscape, evocative chord progressions and the vocal cut central to the original, create a rich tapestry of sound woven to an expert conclusion in the second half to create a dynamic and colourful picture.

An artist who has seen his reputation grow steadily over the past 18 months, Ejaz Ahamed has seen a select crop of releases feature on the likes of Stellar Fountain, Perspectives Digital and OLD SQL. A quartet of remixes for Particles, not least in November 2020's reworking of Juan Deminicis' "Synchronicity", now sees the rising Dubai star make his Proton Music debut with a glorious reworking of "The Floating Bridge of Heaven". Originally appearing on "Vol. 4", the Ejaz Ahamed remix opens with strong framework of heavy beat, straight hi-hats and cavernous bassline. Unconstrained by the rhythmic backdrop, melodic motifs from the original float delicately in hypnotic patterns in juxtaposition to a rising filtered bass sweep. The result is a glorious combination of traditional dancefloor structure and unencumbered organic melody.

A sixth instalment sees Erdi Irmak joined by Silinder and Ejaz Ahamed to create a perfect "Hidden Arcadia".

Time stretches to infinity on a super highway peppered with temporal events. A single point in 2004 shimmers as Lank hits the digital frequencies for the first time.

Airwaves ripple in rhythmic confluence as a multitude of tracks dance along the timeline in joyous harmony; the frequency spectrum a musical playground for a unique Hungarian maestro. Ripples subside in decreasing circles as echoes of previous sounds continue to pulse through consciousness. Now comes a temporal shift; a seismic event as Lank returns once more to the centre of the musical universe, stretching outwards in harmony, dynamism and a philosophy steeped in a heartfelt understanding of fundamental frequencies.

"Paramaters" are forged within the realms of dance structures. Soft rhythms dance against bouncing bass line and melodies float above in imaginative subtlety, meandering in unconventional patterns. "Passing Time" is marked by inventive originality. Percussive cadence mapped out in meticulous fashion as emotive motifs play out, swimming across higher frequencies in dizzying, stereoscopic glory. The timeline appears to slow, converging in dazzling melodic vibrancy as frequencies are reprised, showcasing depth of emotion and strength of technique.

The talented Italian producers Matteo Bruscagin & Visnadi return to Lost & Found. After causing a bit of a fuss last year with Indian stories Ep and fresh from their Agartha Stories on Adriatique's imprinting Siamese they are back on Lost and Found and anticipation will be high for another gem, and boy do these boys pull a rabbit out of the hat for you again with 'Triptico'.

This melodious masterpiece oozes class, and you are hypnotised through its mystical voyage, where dreaminess meets a wonkier streak, yet emotion flows from every note. This one of those tracks thats complexities meet simplicity and will cause devastation to any underground dance floor. 

Next up, label boss compliments the package, with his wondrous take on 'Drps Classic'. Guys hallmark elegant production oozes out from the off, with a beautiful journey f depth and character. Trippier elements add a touch of glass, as a slightly wonky feel is added, creating tension, as subtle FX compliment further depth. The sound of Lost & Found encapsulated in one superb remix from Guy.

With his nothing short of outstanding Force EP on Compost Records, prodigious Laolu pushes his boundaries even further and provides us with a refreshing and yet poignant travel through his vision of afro inspired house music. In addition to this musical marvel comes a long-awaited vinyl exclusive Laolu Remix of Sophie Hungers There Is Still Pain Left, one that will be remembered. It received heavy support already by the likes of Solomun, Marcus Worgull, Trikk and Eagles & Butterflies!

Released on Innervisions at the end of 2015, Laolu's remix of Dele Sosimi's 'Too Much Information' has been a number one hit and Dixon and Ame's favourite track of the year. Laolu was born out of the love of a Nigerian father and a Swiss mother who, most appropriately, met in a record store in Berlin. He spent his first years in Nigeria where his parents owned "The Gallery", a club dedicated to Jazz and Soul. And so his musical education began. After relocating to France, he attended a music school in order to learn saxophone and music theory, but upon discovering Detroit techno pioneers Derrick May and Carl Craig at the age of 18, he sold his saxophone to buy his first drum machine.

He then moved to Geneva where he started DJing and met Kadebostan, who quickly became a musical co-conspirator in the studio and as a DJ partner. In 2010, Laolu released his first EP "O Fantasma" on the young Berlin based label Clap Your Hands. A deep tune for special club moments. During the following years, his collaborations and solo work have led him to produce music for labels including Innervisions, Defected, Compost Records, Get Physical, Weapons, Freude Am Tanzen, Clap Your Hands, Mental Groove, Jalapeno Records and Soundway Records. He kicked off 2014 writing and producing Sene Kela for Mr Raoul Ks new album, which gathered love and support from Dixon, Mano Le Tough and more.

As a DJ, he has built a solid reputation in his hometown of Geneva, but also played across Europe in Berlin, Paris , Krakow and Tbilisi. Ruff techno, heart warming house, his style both sophisticated and raw at once allows him to swing moods and match the feverish atmosphere of any club.
