The Mavin has been writing poetry since he was 10 years old. He was able to put words together at a young age in a way that made people refer to him as "The Lyrical Poet". To this very day, he is known as an artist that paints pictures with words so precise that people hear his words and visualize what is being said due to the imagery involved.


His name, The Mavin, was created  because he felt like "The Expert" when it came to writing poems. He viewed writing as a way to express himself. He wrote in a spiral notebook he called his "Poetic Journal" which contained poetry he wrote to better understand his life and the world around him.


The Mavin became interested in songwriting at the age of 12, he began writing Hip-Hop and R&B songs. He enjoys writing choruses that are catchy that people can recite along with verses that have substance. He writes songs that are universal in their scope that strikes a chord with his listeners.


The Mavin released "The Art Gallery: Selected Pieces" EP in January 2010. He is looking to expand his fan base around the USA and Worldwide. Be sure to listen out for The Mavin as he continues to add to his work of art to make an extraordinary collage of music.
