THE MAZARINES walk the line between dream pop and atmospheric folk.  The duo’s debut CD is crafted with a range of new and underground influences, shrouded in an aura of mystery, yet staying true to their simple, classic roots. 

Lead vocalist, Renee Faia, whose emotional resonance stems from sultry longing, alternates between dreamy, fragile melodies and breaks through at times in a swirl of entrancing, smoky sound.

Her partner, Gregg Stewart's reedy baritone vocals and shimmering rhythmic guitar are further enhanced by heavy glockenspiel and percussion, giving the music an understated, yet full-bodied sound.
