Founded by producer/DJ ‘PillowHands’ (Brenden Durant) and Veteran DJ ‘Mr. Switch It’ (Cody Weagle), GroundsKore originally kicked off as a colab project between the two DJs of the ElectroFunk DJ Collective. Carrying on as a solo act with a bit of a new sound, GroundsKore has been seen all around the province making people shake their booties at several festivals, parties, and clubs with his funk filled and energy fueled breaks and DnB. Never failing to get the dance floor filled and bouncing, his core passion in life is creating and sharing his musical vibes with people and getting a crowd amped up. Putting the ‘fun’ in funk, he’s been seen throwing down hard at BC festivals such as: Awakening, Electric Love, Revelation, Kicking Up Dirt, Summer Bass, and Hi Society, where he holds a DJ residency, Brenden’s also smashed the decks at various shows put on by party gurus such as: ORA Laser, Interior Underground (IUG) and has had the honour of shaking up Snowshoe Sams’ at Big White Ski Resort for their world renowned “DJs and Doubles” night. On the production front, three charting releases have been dropped by GroundsKore and that’s only the beginning of what promises to be a long listed catalogue of releases in the future. His first release came out on Bassbong Records in 2015, an EP titled “Laniakea”, and with surprising success came crashing up the charts in the first week topping out at #4 on the Beatport top 100 breaks releases chart. His following two releases have dropped on Juice Recordings (USA) a thriving electronica label headed up by the North American breaks boss himself, Wes Smith. GroundsKore’s latest release hit both the top 100 breaks releases chart, and the title track “Get This Bass Pumpin” not only landed in the top 100 breaks tracks chart, but also skored a slot in the Beatport “top breaks: August” chart in 2017. 

Born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, Brenden was gifted with a musically rich upbringing. The multi instrumentalist excelled in the musical arts programs through school winning awards along the way. With his father being a producer in the radio industry for years, it gave him the rare luxury of being exposed to the basics of production at a young age. With a few audio programs at his disposal on the family Mac G4,  GroundsKore started experimenting with remixing songs and editing audio clips at the early age of 13 years. It wasn’t more than just a hobby for him until 2010, when he was exposed to the nu age sounds of electronic music and he had an instant passion and drive to dive deeper into the EDM rabbit hole and start creating beats. Since then, his musicianship has been almost entirely consumed by electronic music and DJing and he hasn’t looked back. 

GroundsKore is gearing up for some huge new things in the near future, including a bigger festival circuit for 2018, new merch designs, collabs, more releases expanding to different genres, and best of all, more free stuff for his beloved fans!! We're a 3 man production / dj team from London.
 
We've released our own music on Circus Records, Disciple Recordings, Play Me Too and Mutant Bass. 

Our music has had DJ / Radio support from Skrillex, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Pendulum, Zedd, Nero, Mistajam, Jaguar Skills, Dirtyphonics, Excision, Far Too Loud, Datsik. Lazy Rich, Borgore, Skism, Culprate and lots more.
