Starlight Thursdays 159 Featuring Luna Bear. 3 years ago a friend of his with a set of old CDJs offered him the opportunity to learn and the rest was history. Although known for his ability to widely span many different genres, Luna Bear’s love for halftime deep dub and bass music are what keep driving him forward and further into the industry. As the owner/founder of Ubuntu Productions based out of Billings, MT he is always hosting local events, and is regularly involved with other local and regional events as well. He’s also been playing a monthly Ecstatic Dance event for over a year now at Studio Soul in Billings. He’s played a handful of events for Foundation Entertainment and Music Lives Here in Bozeman, MT as well as sharing the stage with local and regional artists including Beautiful Existence, DAWge, ET3, Danktech, and more. In the infancy of his own personal journey as an electronic producer, he looks forward to learning even more about the industry and creating his own music.

 A few words from Luna Bear.
I’ve been in the music world for most of my life, but DJing was the first musical art that gave me full control over all the different things and ideas I wanted to try going on in my head musically. Electronic producers are continually pushing the boundaries of sound design and helping drive the sound engineering behind sound system culture.
I really enjoyed getting to put this mix together. I haven’t had as many opportunities to play dub music lately and it was good to get back to what started it all for me. This mix spans genres from Halftime, Dubstep, Hip Hop and Deep Dub. Featuring tracks from IDHS, Dubamine, Burning Bush, Kwizma, Togeki, Kroomen and more.
