Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer out of Sacramento California.

Neo-soul songstress Emily Kollars was born in Miami, Florida to a folk singing mother and a father who played keyboards in an 80’s rock band. Displaying an interest in music from an early age, Kollars studied classical piano and voice, and also developed her songwriting skills. Her desire for deeper harmonies led her to a jazz study program at Sarah Lawrence College. 

After singing with several different bands in the Sacramento, CA, she decided to break off on her own. Inspired by such diverse musical icons as Björk, Nirvana, Erykah Badu, No Doubt, Paula Morelenbaum, Radiohead, Debussy and Bartók, Kollars started writing and performing as a solo artist in early 2011.   2015 saw the release of her first CD "Past 10."
