Arjen Flipsen a.k.a Niles Philips is back with a new trip hop and downtempo four track EP release under the title 'Out of Sight'. 

In this era where technological development goes faster than ever and the seamy side reveals itself to the world, Niles slows down the tempo to reflect. His EP 'Out of Sight' takes us back to the times where our current state was a distant future, maybe even from another planet. The songs on this EP tell a story about the hunger for evolution and the desire to take hold of what is familiar. 

All songs are performed in Niles Philips his typical cinematic style. Where synthesizers, (bass) guitars, organs and soundscapes are blended to well-balanced little melodic chapters. 

In this release you will discover once again his unique way of producing organic music with fat beats and awesome melodies.

A night scene composition for the Vuhu Island game soundtrack. With the ruins partially dug up looking ominous in the moonlight, this is a nocturne which feels a bit uneasy in mood as the spirits and bones have become unsettled from their resting place by industrious archaeologists.

And wasn’t being brought to light…

Something suddenly gave me quite a fright

I could have sworn I had seen something
That wasn’t really there
Could it have been some sort of ghost?
I couldn’t help but stare
Into the space I’d seen the change

Got swept up in a reverie,
Of time that had elapsed
I wondered about the concept
Of what secrets it could host

If we’d discovered things we thought

I didn’t see the ghost again,
No movement - air or dirt

1983 - Produced By Frankie Blue - Deborah Holland (Animal Logic / The Refugees) on bkgd Vocals - Frankie was beginning to make a name for himself as an Arranger/Producer - earth wind & fire was a big feather-in-his-cap - We recorded 'Opposites' around the same time as 'All Over You' - #frankieblue would from time to time upgrade his recording facilities and want to test it out ... and allow me the priviledge to be the lucky guinea pig - - The 80s Bass & Percussion definitely does not sound like or suit me... but sometimes it's fun to dress-up -Frankie is... #percussion #bass  I do #guitars  #keyboards  most of the singing The #leadvocal is as relaxed as I ever got in the'Studio' - and overall, the damn thing is sexy... Hey Mr Blue if ya ever see this... thanks for all the cool work you put into this one - and all the others too!
