Her home in Lisbon, Portugal was the beginning of DANYKAS DJ music journey. Her parents were not only her mentors in life, but they were above anything else her mentors in music, sounds and vibrations. Her father and mother were both walking and breathing musical encyclopedias with a vast knowledge of Latin, African, Arabic and Portuguese music. Her tools were clearly provided early and resulted in a sound with a bold and distinctive personal signature that combines Tech House, Afro House, House Music, and many other rhythms that know no borders or limits.

Self-described as a wallflower, DANYKAS DJ launched her first EP “Dina De Brava” in May 2020 – composed by two tracks “Dina De Brava” and “Morna” – an homage to her vivacious and energetic mother, Dina.

DANYKAS DJ is currently living between Portugal and the UK. She has her own monthly radio program “DANYKAS DJ JOY TIME” at Rádio Quântica in Lisbon, Portugal and she is also the Label Manager at Seres Produções based in Luanda, Angola.

Today Karter is an extremely versatile artist who is able to incorporate, integrate and accentuate his music across a plethora of well-known and niche Genres. Also known as “The Sensei”, he has garnered plaudits for his work in the heart of Zurich playing at bars and clubs such as Vior, Plaza, Hiltl, Hardone, festivals such as Afro Fashion Festival, and corporates like Johnson-Johnson AG and DeinDeal.ch.

A well-established pioneer of Amapiano in Zurich, he hopes to put Switzerland and Europe on the map of Amapiano. There is no doubt that Karter will have a profound effect on the industry with his multifaceted approach to music.
