The Hot Jupiters deliver sounds for the soul, music for the mind, and grooves to morph any ordinary environment into a blissful boogying atmosphere. Their eclectic style, which is extremely original and deeply rooted in classic composition, unites the graces of soul, funk, rock, jazz, hip-hop, jam, electronic, pop, alternative, and improv into a one of a kind aural experience that will take the listener on a voyage unlike any other.
Formed in 2015, The Hot Jupiters are one of the freshest groups to appear in the Midwest. Hailing from Chicago, the band features members of Chicago Bands, Digeometric and The Schiavos. The members are Kelly Garrity (vocals), Mike Ferriter (guitar), Alex Francois (keys, synth, sax, vocals), Michael Duffy (drums, vocals), and Brain Strang (bass, vocals).

alphacolors (formerly The Monolith 2010-2017) is the ever evolving ever changing thought forms of creators Michael Duffy and Alex Francois. The music composed, arranged, and organized in alphacolors sessions are very in the moment straight from soul. alphacolors blends countless genre's into a unique electrofusion merged with consciousness, spirituality, and the science of sound.  

The name alphacolors is derived from the groups focus on creating a concept album for each letter of the alphabet, while applying a most colorful blend of sounds and genres.  Concepts express specific themes or ideas, and alphacolors really aims to give form to their music in this way.

Chicago Music Guide was founded by Dennis M. Kelly in 2004 and started from the simple desire to help friends, but with Chicago's vast array of great talent, the site grew quickly from there.
