FlyLo has been pretty busy as of late. The LA based producer just released a 24 track Work-in-progress EP on twitter aptly named "<a href="https://twitter.com/flyinglotus/status/410507909542322177" target="_blank">Ideas+drafts+loops</a>" late last year where he reveals a series of ideas that he has been working on. Some of the tracks do still sound like a work in progress but there are plenty of great cuts and some great vocal appearances from The Underachievers, Andreya Triana, and Nikki Randa and some collaborations with Shabazz Palaces, and Baths. Flying Lotus is putting the finishing touches on his new album, due out this year, and we're hoping that this release is a good indicator of what it will sound like.

His style stitches together bits and pieces of several genres, often utilizing melodramatic vocals, swelling synths, somber piano tones, heavy basslines, and concise, hard-hitting drums. Kackley relies on haunting past experiences, as well as literature and history, to layer intense, thought provoking narratives over his instrumentals.
