Leonardo Rodriguez was born and raised in a suburb from the west of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1982.
From his 15 years old he start participate and compose on bands, from punk rock, rock reggae, Argentine folk and fusion, andean music and latin music blends.

In 2004 and 2006 he studied Charango and quena at Etaarf, Escuela-taller de ates y artesania folclóricas in Haedo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

For 20 years Leonardo has been participating in different bands and songs as instrumentalist or composer an singer. Playing Charango, Ronroco and quena (andean instruments) classic guitar, electric guitar and bass guitar.
At the same time he was interested in recording and musical productions on his own songs till he participate on his first album as a producer with The New Monos, “From the west of the jungle” (2017) 

 After performing in different places of Argentina, Italy and Australia, now currently working actively as a musician and on he’s originals projects in Australia., Dela Caye from (2012) and The New Monos from (2015)

The best Cumbia Alt-Latin band from Melbourne, Australia

Missmax learnt to mix on a borrowed technics1210 a 2 channel mixer and a banged up cdj100. After promoting Chew The Fat! at The End club in London she earned a residency DJing  underground breaks at Supatronix. Into deep, bassy and melodic beats she mixes energetic sets that journey between genres. She has co-hosted underground radio shows in London and was on the first rotation of  the BPM radio show on PBS fm. 

Gig highlights include South London's Corsica Studios, Revolver Upstairs, Instinct at My Aeon and Earthcore mainstage in 2015. Now living in Torquay on the Surf Coast there's a comeback in the works...

With their roots in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Melbourne-based band The New Monos combine inspiration from their South American heritage and diverse musical experience with the flavor of contemporary Buenos Aires, mixing Reggae, Folklore, Cumbia, Rock, Rumba, Hip-hop and Latin beats, all expressed with the passion of the Tango.
