The Nifty Bio

The Nifty is a musical journey through the human experience set on an urban background of snappy beats, driving melodic hooks, and soulful electronic elements.  The group comprises of 3 members:  Established underground music producer Darren Finch a.k.a. ‘D’, singer-songwriter Wendy Finch a.k.a. ‘Ms Wendy’, and accomplished bass guitarist Jeff 'JJ' Johnson.

Their style branches out into various popular genres such as dirty, sexy Pop; warm, uplifting Reggae/Dancehall; dark, melodic Hip-Hop; moody, hard-hitting Electronica/Trip Hop; dreamy, Contemporary/Alternative; with influences of Jazz, Funk, R&B, World... Their melodic structures and electronic influence, together with Ms Wendy's unique vocals and inventive lyrics and JJ's infectious bass-lines, tie everything together into the distinct sound that is - The Nifty.

The Nifty does not stop at the cultivation of their own sound; they have ambitiously fine-tuned their song-writing skills and have turned their hands to writing various styles of mainstream, popular music; opening up their availability to write for tv and film, as well as other artists.

D Bio

'D' aka 'TKO' aka 'Audio Species' aka 'Parameter II' started Dj-ing at the tender age of 14 and has since performed in the UK, Channel Islands, France, Holland, Germany, USA, South Africa &amp; the Russian Federation.

After a few years of DJ-ing 'D' started producing, and within 2 years signed his 1st release. Under his various guises he has had 49 releases to date, including various dance-floor anthems on several of the UK's premier Drum &amp; Bass and Breakbeat underground labels.

'D's music has received numerous plays across a whole host of media outlets including BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra,Kiss FM 100, Choice F.M, Pyroradio.com, Life FM; not forgetting the all important dance-floor, where global support has come from the underground scene's most elite. Following on from his underground success, 'D' has teamed up with singer/songwriter 'Ms Wendy' to form new UK urban act,'The Nifty.'
