The third volume of the influential 'NQ State of Mind' mix series is headed by two key artists on The North Quarter roster: FD and T-Man. Mixtapes represent an important symbol of the formative years of many of the artists on this Amsterdam-based label and so it's only right that the tradition is continued by FD and T-Man, who both have a long history as music enthusiasts. Consisting solely of TNQ music - including 8 exclusives - this is NQ State of Mind, Vol 3.  

Throughout 40 tracks, energetically mixed by FD and backed with T-Man's commanding vocals, this is a journey through The North Quarter's six year catalogue. Many core artists on the label make an appearance, as well as some unexpected faces.

It’s pretty rare for us to share any recordings from the disco – we tend to think that the experience of a night in our four walls is difficult to recreate through a pair of headphones. But on occasion, we unlock some of the most memorable sets from our archives as a special treat for those looking for a taste of EC1 at home. Our latest one is a killer set from FABRICLIVE back in February 2018, where Alix Perez & SP:MC linked up in Room Two. The 60-minute recording sees Perez gliding through his trademark style of icy drum & bass, with SP providing his usual lyrical insight on the mic. As good a way as any to prepare for Perez’s return to Farringdon for Spearhead Presents on Friday 31st January.

Lenzman
Lenzman is a DJ and producer who exhibits tremendous talent in the many peripheral footholds of Drum & Bass. The course his career has taken in the last few years is an enviable journey many only strive to achieve. As testament to a dynamic musical upbringing, Lenzman’s style and sound has coalesced from his early involvement with a Hiphop collective, an ongoing love affair with Soul music, and having witnessed the life and demise of London's Blue Note club.

Dan Stezo
Originally started in the Hiphop scene, Dan crafted his style and microphone skills with approval of local soundsystems. When long time confidant Lenzman introduced Dan to Drum & Bass he found a new passion and began to start making a name in the Dutch scene. To broaden his horizon Dan explored different genres and performed at all the top Dutch venues and festivals. Dan Stezo released tracks Dan Stezo released music on various Dutch imprints such as BMKLTSCH RCRDS, Hardsoul Pressings and Spinnin Records.
