In a music landscape torn between the Zoomer-led drum and bass revival and the guardians of its underground roots, Note has somehow managed to find his own lane. Since his debut in 2021, Note has left an indelible mark on the scene, recognized for his ever-evolving, soulful sound that effortlessly blends avant-garde jazz, hip-hop, and R&B into meticulously crafted drum and bass/jungle compositions.

In the midst of a frenetic drum and bass scene, Note sought refuge in authenticity, returning to The North Quarter to create his boldest and most diverse work to date. Drawing inspiration from post-impressionist art, 'Impressions Of A Still Life' unfolds like a series of vivid paintings, capturing the essence of stillness through lush instrumentation, deep bass, and chopped breaks.

In these five tracks crafted for the dance-floor, Note paints a vibrant portrait that celebrates the joy found in life's simpler, quieter moments. This one is my VIP of AD's track "Zombie Mode" which is a track i have always been very fond of, so the opportunity to purchase the project file and mess around with it was AMAZING. I didn't change the sound design too much, i was more focused on messing with the flow which i really like the result of!
