Sie wollten eine Symbiose aus progressiven Elementen und melancholischen Melodien in Kombination mit einem organischen Instrument schaffen. „Und das alles auf einem treibenden Beat Richtung Sternenhimmel, raus aus dem Orbit“, so der Musiker ergänzend. With ‘Analog Junkies’ we welcome Canadian duo Beyond Physical to ICONYC with their latest two track masterpiece. Beyond Physical who have been causing quite a stir with their melodic techno / progressive house influenced productions make their debut with 2 stunning original tracks. Passionate about their métier and adept in a variety of genres, ambience is an integral component in the duo's production sound as techno, deep and progressive house are closely tied to sensations ranging across the spectrum from melancholy to delight. Now interchanging these differing moods into audile form.

Their latest outing shows maturity and musical development, as we kick off proceedings with ‘Dark Angel’, a collaboration with Veytik. The track opens with all the right notes, as the expressive, progressive house influenced track grabs you from the word go, interspersing with roomy glowing vibes and filtered stabs, driving leads culminating into an energetic drop to round off this brilliant underground crowd pleaser, with its understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. Beyond Physical & Veytik manage to keep the energy up, subtlety allowing the driving feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape.

To close out the duo's debut EP we have the deep, hypnotic title track ‘Analog Junkies’, which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound deep-tech groove and indie influence, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. In short, this EP is everything we have come to expect from Beyond Physical and a wonderful way to start their affiliation with ICONYC, as they once more show their sound remains as fresh, super-charged and relevant as it ever was.

Croatian producer Inverse releases his first EP on Plaisirs Sonores Records. 'Diamonds from Lady Evelyn' is a deep, delicate and surprising track. Perfect for a mysterious and mellow opening. His second track on the EP, 'Jungle Illusion' is a bit more energetic and transmits a nature soundscapes ambiance. Danish duo Baime make a stunning remix from 'Jungle Illusion' bringing it to a peak hour track ! A beautiful and memorable lead occupies the drops. Canadian producer Silar does a melancholic and melodic remix of Jungle Illusions bringing a different touch to it.

After a great start to the new decade, @heinzmusic-berlin welcomes back head of the famous label Katermukke, mr. @dirtydoering himself. Between his tours to all the corners of the world, he finds some time to hit the studio and create his characteristic gems.

Which brings us to the track "Dreamlines". Smooth lines of synths caress the grooving body. It is dreamy and sexy at the same time, with playful elements appearing and disappearing around the vibrating main synths, working its way towards the massive break moment. Theo Meier is a Vienna based producer and DJ, who discovered his talent at an early age. As a kid, he started composing his own music on piano and discovered music theory basics on his own. He released his first tracks  on Traum Schallplatten’s infamous Tour de Traum, followed by an EP on Einmusika Recordings titled “Go-Sig-Nu”, which showed his serious ambition. It was only a matter of time until he gained international attention and has since released on labels such as Poesie Musik, Get Physical and Stil Vor Talent. 
 
Theo’s sound ranges from deep and organic house to melodic techno while keeping his unique and signature sounds composed of moving harmonies, catchy grooves, and warm synth sounds. By incorporating new and unique elements into his sets and productions, he is able to inspire emotions and set himself apart from the norm. Currently, he runs his own label Weltn Audio and promises of more surprises on the way while continuing to deliver his passion in the best way possible.
