Ever since the German producer known as Claptone got his start just a year ago, he has been awarded artist of the year on the German Trendcharts DCC 2012, and has held his spot on Beatport’s Top 10 Tracks in the deep house category. So, without surprise, Claptone brought in 2013 with a fresh EP that is still at the top of the charts today.
No Eyes, which features the vocals of Jaw from dOP has been getting love from all over the world including plays by Annie Mac and Pete Tong ('Essential Tune') on BBC Radio 1 who named Claptone 'Future Star of 2013' at the beginning of the year.
It’s a gripping deep house production with an expressive melody, driven by the low and eerie bass line. The airy keyboard chords gives it the personality of a dark, daydream vibe, while the progression is rhythmic and funky. .Instead of using the original acapella and pitching it down, i had the monster that lives under my bed re-sing it for me! Our contract stipulated that if i let him sing on one of my tracks, after 22 years of scaring me, he'd finally stop. So i did. & as it turns out, he has a beautiful baritone voice, perfect for deep house! & he's actually a really nice guy! His name is Ralph. & if this song does well, there's a very good chance ill have him sing again for me! 

.Moral of that story, music has the power to connect & bring even the most opposite people together. So as long as you don't judge a book by its cover, you'll find something amazing in everyone you meet! Except for people who wear neon rage/yolo, and/or Molly shirts, feel free to judge that book right away...scientific research shows 99.99998% of the people who wear them, are assholes anyway :)

Who would have thought that a random encounter in a bar a few years back would lead to one of the biggest hits of the summer!!

Both accomplished producers in their own right, french Will and british Pete met a few years back and bonded over their love of music. With a collaboration on the cards, it never came about due to the busy schedule of both. However, a few years later down the line the boys bumped in to each other at their local shop. It turns out they live on the same road and within no time they jumped in the studio and wrote "We Did Alright"! Knowing they needed a vocal they sent it to the Legendary Ron Carrol....the rest as they say is history! 

With Danny Howard giving the track its world exclusive on radio 1 and some incredible remixes on the way, this is going to be the soundtrack to the summer!
