An unfolding of anticipation, planning the roads ahead for a world fraying at its seams. 

'Unsung' is the title track of Samuel Savenberg’s upcoming LP, which is due on the 7th of April, on Präsens Editionen. Produced in collaboration with Hannes Rief on trumpet and french horn, Max Rieger on variophone and Dominik Bienz on percussion the short piece is a subtle interplay between triumph and restraint. While Savenberg’s meticulous focus on composition gives the piece body and structure a sense of fragility still remains.

Clemency presents References - her debut EP for Finn’s 2 B REAL. Three deceptively simple percussive pieces, both awkward and elegant.

Each track on the EP feels almost living and breathing; sparse, dissonant synths meet intricate drums and juddering basslines, effortlessly creating momentum and motion across the record.

‘References’ is Bethany Clements Patrick’s first EP under the Clemency alias. She’s a regular behind the decks at Partisan, Soup Kitchen & The White Hotel, and co-runs Manchester’s Mutualism club night, label & NTS show.

Using causality and repetition as a conceptual framework, the release comes with a selection of Clemency’s own references for the record, which includes poetry, literature, geographic coordinates, music and cosmetics - presented at clemencyreferenc.es

Mimic Animals That Are Easy To Love

ACEN019 sees Bristol producer MISH provide his debut release following appearances on the cities Noods and TenTwenty radio stations.

Title track ‘Berserker’ begins ominously with crisp folly snaps that give way to a bobbing beat that is further thrown with punchy kicks. As the track continues it segways between sparse pauses and sub heavy moments ready to grapple with the dancefloor. 

On Ocean XP the feeling is switched up, with profuse chords and melodic flashes jetting between one another, setting the stage for an autonomic jaunt that’s motoric drive feels at odds with the title track’s springy mobility.

Final track ‘Rattlesnake’ hinges around a skittering broken beat that constantly mutates as pointed percussion weaves in and out of focus. As the track powers forward a sharp acidic melody splashes across MiSH’s carefully arranged canvas of drums as his signature manipulated FX take us towards a remote listening space.

Berserker is available across all platforms from the 31st of July.
