For the next @DarkScienceElectro premiere we take a listen to a track from a release on @DiscosAtonicos by the prolific artist @Dez-Williams

Dez has been steadily releasing music since 2003 under labels like @SCSI-AV, @WarmData, @TransientForce, @Battery-Park-Studio, @Shipwrec, @MechatronicaMusic, @NewFleshRecords and many more. It is arguable that he is the most productive Electro artist currently producing within our genre. He does venture into Techno territory as well however the rate at which he pumps out the jams is truly staggering. His most recent release comes to us care of a new label run by @Alienata called @DiscosAtonicos. With three releases under it's belt, the label moves to debut a four-track vinyl EP for the man himself. 

The track selected to debut on @DarkScienceElectro is the fantastic 'Zapmaciak'. Though short in length (coming in at 3 and a half minutes) this track treats listeners to solid drum programming, brooding bass lines and excellent effect processing utilizing the Waldorf Rocket. Staying true to form, Dez has delivered 5 amazing cuts impregnated with a strong dystopian atmosphere without straying from his signature electro style: crunchy bass lines, spaced out drama, alien funk and a touch of acid. PREMIERE: Dez Williams - Zapmaciak (Discos Atónicos)

On his first release since 2014, @DVSNME has self-released a 15 track album featuring some of his most inspired music to date. This full-length effort pays homage to the traditional musical scales of Asian countries like Japan and China with a sonically varied collection of tracks that will leave the listener wanting more. The title of the album is a not-so-subtle nod to Electro pioneers Kraftwerk's 1977 'Trans Europe Express', with the album cover paying tribute to the Japanese art form of 'Nyotaimori', in which sushi or sashimi is served from the naked body of a woman. The album relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines from @Rolandcom and @Korg like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, and TR-909. DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called '@DarkScienceElectro' and has been a dedicated contributor for the Electro community for the last 10 years. He shares his love of Electro music by posting Electro-affiliated news, art, mixes, albums, memes, concerts, tracks, gear and more. Tomás Urquieta is a Chilean born and Mexico City based producer and creative mind. His sound is a blend of heavier techno outskirts, electronic compositions that touch the experimental side and he’s not afraid to use more big production club-orientated tracks. Tomás is a craftsman in creating shapeshifting sound-art pieces.

Less than one year after his 2019 release entitled ‘Trans Asia Express’, DVS NME returns with a collection of original tracks that were produced between 2018-2020. This 30-track album is a not-so-subtle nod to the Electro inspirations that have helped to influence the DVS NME sound that has developed over the course of the last 20 years. The most obvious influence is that of Detroit pioneers Drexciya and subsequent projects by Gerald Donald. The album pays homage to Dopplereffekt’s 1999 album ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’ in both its title and cover art. The release ranges from brooding, downtempo machine funk all the way to dancefloor-oriented melodic Electro. The album relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, and TR-909.
