The Other Bones, an electronic-pop trio from Portland, Maine, wrote "In The Night With Me" (2019) in the months preceding their breakup in 2014. The album follows the band's debut EP "Hinges" (2011), which received national attention and acclaim with its electronic-forward production, pop-heavy vocals, and rock-centric guitar textures. With "In The Night With Me," The Other Bones build upon that foundation while venturing into the world of R&B, pulling production and performance inspiration from D'Angelo, Beyonce, and The 1975. The 14-track album nakedly examines the negative circular logic that accompanies an alcohol-fueled depressive episode at two in the morning, veering from barefaced fear and doubt to gentle resignation.

A posthumous record of sorts, The Other Bones came back together in 2015 and decided to finish and release "In The Night With Me" despite no longer existing as a formal band or having any real commitment to each other. They explore why that was a horrible decision (as well as other more optimistic themes) in their short-run podcast, "The Breakup Album". They do not currently have plans to reform or release additional music.

The Other Bones are a Portland, Maine-based trio comprised of Andrew Mead (synth, production), Eric Bruce (guitar), and Loretta Allen (vocals). The group embraces contemporary electronic production while featuring soulful vocals and powerful rock guitars to create a unique blend of sounds. Reviewers have drawn comparisons to acts like CHVRCHES, Metric, and Passion Pit.

In the fall of 2011, The Other Bones released a set of live performance videos that highlighted creative use of loop samplers, synthesizers, and effects processors, allowing them to perform well-developed, fully-realized songs with only three people. The band quickly followed with a series of well-reviewed concerts throughout New England.

Six months after their debut, The Other Bones released Hinges, a 5-track EP. The album was recorded and co-produced by The Other Bones and Jonathan Wyman (Rustic Overtones, Sparks The Rescue, Dean Ford), all of whom worked to retain the unity of sound that defines The Other Bones’ live show.

Since then, the band has been furtively writing and producing new material which draws from contemporary stripped-down Brit pop and classic 90's R&B. The trio debuted much of their new material in July 2013 at the State Theatre in Portland, ME, which was hailed as "forward-thinking", "evocative," and "downright dirty". The band went went on to release a recording of the concert, "Live At The State Theatre."

Currently, the band is refining that new material and plan to release a number of singles in late 2013 and a full-length project scheduled in early 2014.
