The song “Hero” is an original composition from the collaboration of ThePapersnakes and Beth Hedges, both St. Albans-based acoustic artists.
 
The track was a composed for a live performance at the St. Albans IOFringe “Heroes Day” in the summer of 2017.

Hero

When the Astronauts first arrived on Mir Space Station and  they looked out of the Observation window at the Earth each one of them named their own countries as their homes. After months together, they forgot to look for their own countries but talked about their Earth. This is a celebration of globalism and an indictment against the wanton destruction inflicted on the Earth by humanity and a plea to change before it's too late. It forms a part of an EP that Bill Johnson and I  have been working on under the title "Music for the 6th Extinction".
