Not many rappers can boast that their first ever live performance was at London’s O2 Arena, supporting hip hop legend, Nas. Such was the talent of Jordan Cooper, aka Coops, who at 23-years-old won Choice FM’s Breakthrough Competition, and the chance to perform alongside one of his formative influences. “I want to be inspired by the greats, rather than what’s current,” the North Londoner explains, citing Jay Z, A Tribe Called Quest and Eminem as other major inspirations. 
Throughout his late teens Coops was making music with his friends, but it wasn’t until he looked at himself and the world around him that he changed his writing approach and decided to go it alone. “I’ve always had the mind-set that if I’m true to myself and where I am, as a social commentator or looking inside myself documenting that stage of my life, then I’ll have endless material.”

"Leader of the new school Junglist's" A phrase coined by Rinse FM’s Uncle Dugs as a nod to how Kelvin 373 has inspired a generation of ravers through his love for Jungle Drum & Bass and his dedication to building a unified scene with his label Born on Road.

His achievements in sound system culture stem from roots on the underground rave circuit and have seen him storming the UK festival scene.

Kelvin has made a home in Bristol alongside label mate Aries, his partner in crime Selecta J-Man and a wide circle of Junglists that are all working towards a common goal. His business is promoting new music, championing new artists, stacking up dubs and then ultimately, and completely destroying raves.

Kelvin 373 is widely recognised as a key figure on the Drum & Bass Jungle circuit today; whether it be for playing, making, supporting or signing the music that inspires this man’s everyday life, one thing’s for certain is that he’s doing it for the love.

He has effectively brought together all corners of the Drum & Bass community through tireless life on the road as DJ, dedication to his label Born on Road and perhaps most importantly, his passion towards the music - championing the sound of the underground - Drum & Bass Jungle. This passion is what keeps him going with the excitement of a DJ that’s just been given his first shot at shelling a dance and all things considered it should come as no shock that water boils at 373
kelvins.

We are a free party collective and sound based in the north east of England we proudly fly the flag as part of the northern embassy a collective of rave crews. We aim to bring some fresh talent to the table with weekly guest mixes and dubs you'll find no where else on the interweb so for now sit back crank up all bless no stress!!!

Aries Bio :

Reggae and Jungle are genres of music with strong roots in the UK and Aries has immersed himself in both cultures which has heavily influenced his whole ethos to production and DJing. It is this integrity and dedication to the scene which has earned him respect amongst his peers meaning he now flies the flag internationally for modern day sound-system culture.

Aries’ sound combines vintage Jungle sensibilities with traditional Reggae music polished off with modern day production techniques. The finished product is his own Dubwise strain of the UK’s one true homegrown genre, Jungle.

He broke through to the A-list of the Jungle world after releasing music on legendary record labels: Congo Natty, Dread and V Recordings, plus Aries has recorded with a whole world of vocal talent that does by no means stop at Top Cat, David Boomah, Solo Banton, Nanci &amp; Phoebe, Demolition Man, Jah Mason and Johnny Osbourne. His DJing is in demand across the globe having played high profile DJ sets in most major countries.

Back in 1990, Aries launched himself onto Pirate Radio in his hometown of Birmingham where Reggae and underground Dance music were dominating the airwaves. This is where he learned his craft as a DJ. He then promoted himself to throwing parties and finally graduated to the recording studio where he has been creating music ever since.

Aries’ projects vary from his solo exports to collaborations with other producers from Gold Dubs and Kelvin 373 to the Chopstick Dubplate crew, which is the world’s first international Reggae Jungle sound crew which is fronted by himself, Jacky Murda and Tuffist. Recently, he has also been touching on other projects from Hip Hop to Dubstep which all tell an ode of his roots.

Within the reputedly closed doors of the Jungle Drum &amp; Bass world, true support is carried by your peers and it is they who validate your career. Aries has been met with open arms by figureheads of the scene. In the mainstream, Aries receives radio play from BBC’s Toddla T, Zane Lowe, Rob Da Bank and DJ Hype plus his Youtube views reach the millions. This is all from one of the most humble people you are likely to meet in the music business.

It is undoubtedly true that Aries will continue his ongoing plight to serve the world true grassroots Dubwise Jungle dubplates. Whether it be releasing his own music, collaborating on projects or running record labels, Aries will be pushing the sound that he loves.
