Josh Harris as the author of the hit book "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" was a very beloved figure in conventional Christian circles. In turn, he was not the most celebrated when he came out as deconstructing.

In this video, I talk about the phenomenon that is the Deconstructing Christian. It seems everyone and their mom has an opinion about this hot topic right now. But what I've found is most opinions are just that. Opinions. They aren't very rooted in reality. 

Deconstruction, as experienced by the community of those leaving conventional Christianity, is not to be conflated with the philosophy of Jacques Derrida nor is it to be conflated with the dictionary definition of just taking down a building. There is a lot more nuance at play and it is important we understand what Deconstruction is both if we are going through that process and if we are not!
