Here it comes the cream of the crop of house music: the unsung and unfortunately still underrated Japanese house hero Shinichiro Yokota a.k.a. the sports cars lover. He has been indisputably and symbiotically dominating the Japanese house scene for the past decades along with his long-time partner in crime Soichi Terada. This match made in heaven came true through multiple releases on Soichi's label Far East Recording. Shinichiro's ahead-of-his-time style of house music draws his strengths from light-hearted, soulful and accurate jams as exemplifies by his masterpiece track "Do It Again". In 2015, house staple Hunee reissued 13 open-hearted tracks (from Far East Recording) on famous label Rush Hour, which gave  the two sidekicks the attention they have long deserved. These fresh-sounding melodies perfectly depicts the way they do house in Tokyo: deep, cheerful and unblemished. One year later, he made its mark in Boiler Room history, delivering a noteworthy live appearance. Finally, the release in 2019 of his album "Ultimate Yokota 1991-2019" marked a huge step - his "30 years chronicle" as he calls it - as it includes a careful and timeless selection of early 90s tracks that haven't been released on vinyl ever before.

For this 2-year anniversary mix, he's blessing us with a wall-to-wall hour compilation of classics including his legendary tracks such as Do It Again, Got To Be Real or Night Drive. Trust us, this is a flawless and sophisticated summer trip gathering joy, purity and skillfulness.

Plucked from the outer limits of the Spanish underground comes a 21 track selection curated by Trujillo, as he explores the forgotten corners of the 1980s and early 90s Spanish music scene. Veering through early bleep and hip house, electro, boogie, Iberian pop and much more, it has broad appeal to both Balearic heads and diggers alike. Serendipitously, the cover art for the compilation is an original work by Yves Uro, a figurehead of Ibiza’s party scene from the 70s and 80s and whose visionary poster artwork became representative of the white isle.
  
Ritmo Fantasía is the result of over a decade’s worth of record collecting by DJ Trujillo, searching out bespoke stores, markets, and dealers. For the first time ever, it brings to light and groups together some  hidden gems from an era that without it, would likely remain hidden from view.

Feeling the summertime vibe over here at Disco Segreta, and we're ecstatic to revive one of the rarest summer-themed Italo disco tunes ever dropped!

L.S. Manera, the alias of the studio ensemble helmed by musician Leonardo Del Vita and vocalist Sabrina Anselmi, epitomized the sun-soaked italo grooves of the 1980s. This short-lived group unleashed only a handful of singles between 1985 and 1988.

Their debut single, "Sombrero" surfaced in 1985 as a promo-only 12” on the Roman label LGO, in exceedingly limited quantities, garnered relatively little attention.  Fast forward nearly four decades, it has become one of the most coveted Italo 12”s, fetching exorbitant sums in collector's circles.

“Sombrero” stands out among aficionados of obscure Italo-disco, embodying a distinct vein: that of summer-themed tracks. With its tantalizing blend of airy arpeggios, Juno 60 synth lines and bass, punchy percussions adorned with claps, cowbells and a seductive saxophone solo. 

“Sombrero” has it all to seduce new discerning listeners, also thanks to the infectious alternating vocals in English and Spanish, featuring hilariously sultry hooks such as "Te quiero, Sombrero!" or "I love muchachas!"

Disco Segreta fulfils another Italo disco dream by reissuing this absolute gem for a broader audience, presented in a meticulously remastered 12” edition featuring the original vocal and instrumental versions, along with the stellar “Estate Dub” by the Latino-Swedish maestro of Italo-disco, Claudio Burgos, aka Mr. Fantasy, which we are sure will become an absolute dance classic.
