DJ Chris Brown was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. His mother is from island of Jamaica and his father is from the streets of Chicago. This cultural combination spawned a very unique musical background. When he wasn't listening to Dancehall and Reggae music he would tune into the local radio stations, B96 and WGCI. Those stations introduced him to the likes of Bad Boy Bill, Too Cool Chris, Julian Jumpin Perez and DJ Pharris. These DJs had a great influence on the way he spins today, from the genres he plays to his high energy style. He truly loves the art of DJing and believes that if someone is going take on this form of art, they should be proficient. For him that means, study the best, practice regularly, be creative and entertain your audience.
