Return of the A.N.T.s is an aggressive, upbeat song, mixing between female cleans and male screams. Equal parts chaos and confession it embodies how we are the ones in control of our chaos and thoughts. The song is meant to tie in and have lyrical allusions to other songs in the EP. The concept was to have the song become a cyclical loop with Hive Mind. Automatic Negative Thoughts never truly leave; we ultimately are responsible for their creation and destruction.

Hive Mind is a lyrical descent into labels, thoughts, and self-dismantling. Pulsating piano chords and synths feel stylistically like a horror movie and the lyrics move between images of beauty and cosmic horrors. The narrator is a husk and becomes queen of their own negative swarm. It's an eerie overture that sets the confessional tone of the record. It defines what the A.N.T.s are and if the EP is set on repeat will cause a continuous cycle of emptiness, filling, then acceptance.

Hive Mind

Never Mine is what happens when you are caught between obsession and annihilation. It's the chaos of locking eyes with someone in a crowd and spiraling into dangerous delusion. A post-hardcore anthem of desire, denial and surrender. Both the male and female singers are trapped in the delusion, leaning into it, but ultimately nothing will come of it.
